Hi all,

Would like to know if any other members are a fan of these African plucked instruments?

I currently have 3 kalimbas. 1 is 17 notes B key (Gecko K17CA), 1 is 17 notes C key (Mahogany, no brand, made in china), 1 is acrylic 17 notes C key (Kimi).
I am planning to get LingTing flatboard kalimba soon.

I am also partnering with my woodworking friends to make our own DIY Kalimba and will post some interesting photos and videos~!

So if you are playing kalimba or plan to learn this instruments, lets make acquaintance and share the tabs, your cover of songs, and info to make this instrument more popular!

Financial service for business start up

Hi all,

I got a business plan to open a tourism hot spot. My concept is not found in Malaysia yet. At least from my google search and ask-around.
The costing already calculated to be approx. RM500k including initial CAPEX. Which need 1 full year to prepare.
Only 2nd year it is ready to open to public.

I approached MOTAC for Special Fund for Tourism (SFT3), but the minimum requirement is to have a company that's already being running for 2 years. Which i don't have.

Besides finding friends and family as investor, any other loans / scheme that government is able to provide for a start-up with initial cost approx. RM500k? I have no track record to provide since I am a full time engineer for the pass 12 years.

I have found the land, the contractors, the designers, landscapers and all necessary supporting vendors to give all costing. They are ready to start work.

Just need to get this fund to kick start my business after Chinese New Year.

Any input is greatly appreciated.

Mind to share upper endoscopy experience?

Hi all, anyone done upper endoscopy and mind to share the experience?

I have nausea / dizziness / hot flashes / heart palpitation symptoms.
Eat fast food or cakes confirm puke.

I went to SJMC to consult cardiologist and gastroenterologist.

I was scheduled to do TEE by cardiologist and Upper Endo by gastrologist doctors on the same day. (TEE is a 2D echo of my heart by inserted the transducer in my throat down to my chest area for more detail scans).

In the morning I did the TEE but it was really horrible experience. Only spray my mouth let my throat numb and inject sometime to keep me calm.
But I am fully awake and very panic that even lying on the bed waiting them to prep up, I keep gagging and butterflies in stomach.

Then I was pinned down by nurse and doctor shoved the probe into my mouth, ask me to swallow it and breath.
1st attempt I was unable to breath, so doctor pull it out and do it again.
2nd time success, I am able to breath, but keep on gagging like there is no tomorrow. Eye nose mouth also got fluid coming out.
worse part is doctor keep pulling out a bit, pushing in back a bit, and discuss with nurse over the screen for whole 10minutes. I keep gagging for those 10minutes and nurse pinned me on the bed.

I felted like I was raped and deep throated ...

So immediately after that, I said I want to cancel the upper endoscopy. I feel my throat very pain and can taste blood.
The doc and nurse calm me down and say the upper endoscopy I will be sedated.

But at that time I already freaked out and very phobia that I reject the Endoscopy appointment no matter what they say.

So I would like to ask fellow lowyat, mind to share your endoscopy experience? By sedated does it mean fully sedated and put me to sleep? or partial sedation which I might still gag like hell? How thick is the scope cable going down my throat? (The TEE scope cable is really thick. About 10mm or more.)

SJMC will charge me around RM1500 for doing the upper endoscope. So I would like to get some advice first. I really don't wanna experience the horrible procedure again which I gag non stop. Very phobia.

Now I am on Pantoprazole + Gaviscon + Probiotic. And I keep myself away from fast food / cakes / oily food. So far so good, until last night I tried to eat a bit McDonalds GCB/fries/coke from my wife. Went back to home, 2 hours later vomit again. Burping and tremors, this morninig 6am burping again and unable to sleep. This morning breakfast unable to swallow, throat tightness.

I am currently finding someone who can draw futuristic / alien / conceptual guns for my project.

GunType: short hand gun, medium guns, snipers (all must be very conceptual / futuristics / alien)
Dimension: 1280 x 800
Software: Adobe Photoshop (Must send me .psd files)
Background: No need
Price: RM300 / drawing
Estimate total drawings: Batch of 5 (RM1500 for first 5 drawings, if satisfy, more batches coming, estimate total 20~30 drawings for 3 months span).

[WTF] - Looking for anime designer

Hi I am looking for freelance anime designer who are able to draw female anime and all kinds of outfits.
My criteria is to have you drawing 5 anime female characters with unique styles / outfit, each file dimension is 1420 x 1200 pixels.
Must be able to send me in photoshop file (.psd) with all layers not merged.
Only the character or come with nice backgrounds will be paid in different price.
The 1st batch is 5 characters. Later will have batches of 5 anime per batch coming in if I find it suitable.

P/S: I'm not looking for professional CG artist with art school degrees. I can't argue with their superb quality but I can't afford the price tags.
