Proton Persona

Hi people, i need advise from people who are familiar with problem i have. I feel im having a serious problem, bought a Persona 2009 B-Line auto 2nd hand about a month ago. Took it to PD while on highway about 100 - 120KM speef FC was around 7L/100KM at times lower. But recently now it easily goes up 12, 13..2 days back after reset the meter it went up to 18L/100KM!!

At 1st i thought its a problem with meter but then noticed fuel level has reduced fast. Funny thing is at times it goes down to 12, 11..then goes up again. I drive slow no speeding & its town driving mostly.

Anyone faced similar problem & manage to solve it, or knows what could most likely the source of prob? Btw mileage is 145K +

Hi everyone..

I need advise on buying a Persona 1.6A 2009 which was mostly used for town driving 60-90km/h & furthest was from Ipoh to Kuala Kangsar distance of 45KM one way, about 3 times a year.

If this car is now suddenly used for long distance driving from Ipoh to Port Dickson 290KM one way, at speed of 120-120km/h will it cause any problem to the engine due to sudden pressure of such distance driving?

The car was serviced on time, any parts changed are ori & no leaking from engine. My concern is since it was very rarely driven very far, will the engine experience a."shock" or overburden caused by driving about 3 hours on highway & sustain bad damage/major breakdown?

Sorry this may sound like very basic or dumb question but i do not have much knowledge in these & already had a bad experience with perdana V6 before where the crank shaft & engine block was badly damaged, car had to be towed from highway.

I hope persona owners who know well on this can advise me. TQ

Buying Used Proton Waja

Im planning to buy an used Waja auto, but don't know much on which would be the best option for mostly town driving, rare occasions long distance.

I heard MMC engine from Mitsubishi is very economical & fuel saving, as well as maintenance costs. Is it more less same with the CPS version? Also i was told Campro engine has been problematic in many cars, told to avoid buying that.

Would appreciate some comments & opinions from existing MMC & CPS owners, my main purpose is to travel within Ipoh town which would be abt 20 -30 KM each outing. Also fuel & maintenance costs, similar to Wira auto?

HI,

I'm planning to buy an used Proton Waja for usage in town area...rare occasion long distance above 250KM (highway). Would appreciate any waja users to suggest which variant would be suitable for short distance & within town traffic driving. As i know there are Campro MME, Campro H-Line, CPS & Premium version. Main concern is fuel comsumption & lower maintenance costs, I have a Perdana V6 now which is a killer on both of it.
