Onkyo DP X1

i am using OPPO PM3 headphones with a balanced cable on a Onkyo DP X1. I have ripped music onto three different micro sd cards and onto the internal memory, in wav, flac, m4a, aiff, MP3 formats utilising two different computers and various ripping programs. When the music is played back on the computers the sound is as expected for the resolutions used. When I play the music from the DP X1 the sound is awful. It is as if the mids and highs have been compressed. Even with equalisation used I can not get a decent sound. Downloaded tracks from Spotify sound better but imo the player is not giving hi resolution play back. I have reported it to Onkyo who are looking into it but was wondering if anyone had had the same issues.<br />

I have ripped music to the internal memory and micro sd cards in wav, flat and MP3 for my Onkyo dp x1. When I play the music through my OPPO pm3 the sound is very poor. If I listen to downloaded files off Spotify they sound marginally better but not what would expect from a hi resolution player. At present the issue is with Onkyo but no resolution yet. Anyone had similar issues.
