Speaker upgrade

I just got my Corolla Cross. Needless to say, the speakers aren't really to my liking. Question is:
1. Will upgrading to aftermarket speakers void any warranty?
2. Other region Corolla Cross uses JBL Stage 2 (iirc), possible to get TSC to upgrade for me for a certain fee and not void any warranty?

Hi all

I need some advice. My baby is currently breastfed. He was discharged when he was 2 days old with bilirubin level 160. As of today, he is 11 days old, his bilirubin level has increased to 210. Is there something to be concerned about since my wife is AB+ blood group and the baby is B+ blood group (I am O+)? Should I just wait it out for a couple more days? I just bought a few Buah Kuning herbal bath and I'm unsure if it helps. The doctor did mention to me that having him under the sun is pointless since the wavelength is not the same as phototherapy

So my wife is delivering on the 6th Aug and as of yesterday I did my pcr test with her. Fortunately for her she's negative (double dosed Pfizer) despite us staying in the same room and kiss daily. However I am positive (single dose az). Ct level at 30.6 for n gene and 29.8 for e gene. No symptoms whatsoever. Anyhow, just ranting cause its a bit unfortunate that I can't see my first baby being born

Advisable to switch from Apple to Samsung?

Hi as topic suggests, I currently own an iPhone 7 Plus, an iWatch, and a MBP 2018. The thing is with Apple starting to charge unreasonably for their phones and I don’t know if I want to proceed with the upcoming X1. No doubt I enjoy the connectivity between devices but is it advisable to switch to Samsung just cause of its better functionality?

Checking for hauntings before moving in

One of the forummers, [@leodinouknow] mentioned in one of the threads that he has purchased a haunted house.

I myself am not a believer of ghosts, but I am deeply curious about how you guys find out if your house was haunted or how you guys verified if the house was "clean" before making a purchase? I have seen that you can pay some fees for your house to be checked in diedinhouse.com or something in the States. How does these checks work in Malaysia?

Connection for 2 storey bungalow

Hi I am wondering how would you guys place your router for a 40 x 80 layout with double storey? Do you place a router at the living room, an extender at kitchen side, then one in the middle (stairs), and another on 2nd floor living hall?

If not, what are the routers and extenders that you are using? I am currently on Unifi 300MBps plan

Any advise would be appreciated.

Brother asked to sign loan with him

Hi sifus,

My elder brother is unable to get a loan approved. Therefore he has asked me to sign a loan with him. I am curious why is he unable to get his loan himself so I asked him for his CCRIS report and he has 3 "1" in there. His outstanding amount is only RM75 (3 service charge on his credit cards which he wasn't aware of until 1 month later).

1. Is it not possible for him to loan by himself? His record actually is not too bad. He just had 3 "1" in his record which should not be an issue for loan application right? Does he have to wait 1 whole year to clean his record just because of this RM75?
2. What are the possible risk for me? He mentioned that he will pay the loan on time.

I am able to view the interior of a Lelong unit

I am interested in a lelong unit. The unit is currently being auctioned off by bank but for some reason, this owner also happen to be selling this house and there will be an agent who will be showing me the house. I am wondering how is this a possibility? Will there be a complication that would happen if the owner happen to find a buyer? Or the owner will have to stop looking for buyer until the auction period is over?

Hi sifus,

I am wondering if the houses in BK5 Desiran/BK6 Melody are still worth buying? Considering that their prices are somewhat at an all time high and I am planning on buying one around this area. They are going at a 1.1m to 1.3m range. Is the price already saturated?

I am buying for my own stay.

I currently am working a full time job and I just got an offer for a full time home based position. I am wondering if there is a possibility for me to pull this through if I were to accept the offer without either employer know about me having 2 jobs.

There are no statement in my offer letter (both employers) that states that I cannot work 2 full time jobs, and both jobs are in completely different field (so no conflict of interest).

Is it possible for me to work 2 jobs without either employer know?

Career Switch (Mechanical to Software Eng)

Hi guys, I was a graduate in BSc Mechanical Engineering and I have been working for the past 5 years as Mechanical Engineering. Roles include Mechanical Design Engineer, Supplier Quality Engineer, and now Commodity Engineer. I am currently working as Commodity Engineer in a US MNC firm and earning RM6,000 per month (excl. 13 months pay and bonus).

However, I have just discovered my passion in software development recently and I have been working on some very basic projects on my own, which include React Native and Android Studio. I have very basic programming experience. I am currently considering if I should switch my career to software engineering and take a huge pay cut. I do notice that there is a huge prospect in software engineering but I know after the paycut, there will be a gap in basic salary for the next 3-4 years.

Any advise?
