Took pc for checking after being unable to troubleshoot myself.
Found that one or both of my memory sticks were malfunctioning. (no display, pc running.)

They were Kingston 8gb (4x2) ddr3 (will get pictures soon, if necessary)
https://m.ebay.com/itm/Kingston-HyperX-Beas...ycAAOSw-uhaTuTI

Looked exactly like these.

Was told I needed rm600 to replace them.
Looked online and found the prices are lower.
When asked if the online alternatives worked, the guy said no but did not elaborate.

Question : What are the specifications for new sticks to function for my mobo and am i being ripped off. (mobo is asus z87m-plus)

(ABOVE RESOLVED)

-----------

Updated question : Any good suggestions to replace this? https://www.kingston.com/dataSheets/KHX24C11T3K2_8X.pdf
Budget of roughly RM300-400, need 8GB. Mobo is Asus z87m-plus.
