Spilled water on Mac, change logicboard 2k?!

Hi, need some advice. Had liquid damage on my Mac, sent in for repair they quoted me the price of my laptop(4.7k) which is ridiculous.

Reason being they need to change the entire logic board (2k+), keyboard (1k+),battery, Touch ID, speaker , trackpad.. well almost the whole laptop la.

My trackpad is dead & my speaker has some buzzing sound.

Is it worth proceeding with this expensive repair ? Or should I just get my laptop fixed outside ? Any recommendations ?

Also... Can I just get my speaker or trackpad replaced by Machines ? If don’t make any repairs, they will charge rm160. Thought I might as well just get a part changed.

Flight cancelled, can’t claim insurance ?

Hi, I got my whole Europe trip covered with Etiqa’s tripcare 360 insurance.

Upon departing malaysia , we received the news that one of our flights within Europe got cancelled as the airline had ceased its operations.

Naturally , we went to the website , they’ve advised all passengers to seek for alternative flights ASAP , and refunds are not guaranteed.

So I did buy another ticket of the same route .

Fast forward , I came back to malaysia. Filed my complaint with all the necessary documents attached. Waited for a month ?! No response. Called in desperately many times until someone gave me a working staff’s landline. Finally someone picked up the phone and told me “sorry miss , airline bankrupt is not covered in our clause”

I read back my policy again in detail , as I remember there’s no such clause . I asked her to point out to me where the clause is. She couldn’t answer , and she kept saying i would need to talk to her boss. I asked her to direct me to their boss, suddenly her boss is not in.

Wtf . Does anyone know how should I go about this ? If I can’t claim it back , then wtf is the point of me getting insured for my travel ? When I cant even claim for shit like this

Hi all, one of my colleagues (young and not married, below 30s) declined a few angpows recently by a boss and several other married colleagues.

When asked “why” the person only whispered “because of personal reason”. From the tone of it we could tell that he/she doesn’t wanna talk about it , that’s why we stopped probing further.

What would u guys do if u encounter someone like that? What would u think and what would u do?
