WRT54G v5 Broadband Internet port problem

I have WRT54G v5 Wireless Broadband Router. I have configured it as autometic DHCP server setting with 192.168.2.1 where as ADSL modem DHCP server setting is 192.168.1.1.

Recently I configured WRT54G and MT800A and both were running fine. MT800A modem is connected to streamyx as well as one switch, one line from this switch connect to my WRT54G router.

I connected cable from switch to the Internet port of WRT54G and everything work very fine for three days, but suddenly ADSL modem was disconnected and it auto diallled itself (according to its configuration) but WRT54G no more delivering Internet, even it is assigning IP addresses and seems connected.

I can access http://192.168.1.1 ADSL modem configuration page, I can also access WRT54G ( http://192.168.2.1 ) configuration page. But when I remove cable from my Internet port of WRT54G and plug it to other normal port and use WRT54G as switch it work fine. Why? How can I solve the problem? Even I tried ON/OFF WRT54 and flush DHCP addresses.

I would like to access my office computer from home, both running Windows XP. By the office has about 100 PC connected together as a office LAN. RV016 10/100 16-Port VPN Router is used for connecting Internet. RV016 is also working as DHCP server providing address to office LAN. My computer IP is 192.168.2.100

How can I conect my office PC from home computer also on internet. Please let me know what IP to use?

I want to access my office computer from home. Both are connected to the Internet. In office there are more than 100 computer, all are part of office LAN. Internet is shared among these computer using RV016 10/100 16-Port VPN Router. I have my internal (LAN) IP like 192.168.2.100 assigned by DHCP by RV016. When I check my external IP (Whatismyip.com) then I get by IP (eg. 210.34.23.50 , not actual ofcourse).

Can Someone advice me how to access my office PC computer from home via internet. Office computer is ON and connected to Internet most of the time. I am running Windows XP both places (with Admin right).

LAN Monitoring Software

Can someone suggest me LAN monitoring software. I have LAN with two subnets. I mean ADSL modem is configured as DHCP server and connected to Broadband Steamyx line. DHCP server address is 192.168.1.1 then there are many cables going to many computer from this ADSL modem (there is a swich) to connect four computer.

One of the Cable from switch go to Internet port of WRT54G Wireless Broadband Router, this router address is 192.168.2.1 this router is also configured as DHCP server and four computer are connected to it.

I want to monitor and see how many people are using Internet, if possible what they are doing (like which site they are visiting and timing) and if possible stop/ban them if needed.

Admin of this site should change the Home or Main URL of this Forum which is Lowyat.net to something meaninful like LowyatForum or ForumLowyat, current name is Lowyat.net which confuse with main site lowyat.net since it is site not forum..... So Admin should differenciate these two names to avoide confusion.

Can I access my router control panel over Internet

Can I access my router control pannel or my WRT54G configuration pannel over the Internet. I mean my home WRT54G administrative control pannel in my office over the Internet, if so how? So that I can monitor and see if there is anything wrong.

Is this badwith is OK or slow?

I am using HUAWEI MT800A braodband modem and LinkSys WTR54G v5 Wireless Broadband Router with Streamyx 1MB bandwidth broadband line. I did this test in Idaman, Gombak through www.tm.net.my (streamyx) site with ftp server as GW1-GW BrickFileds and I got the following output.

Is this speed is correct, because Kbytes per second is very less

I cannot ebable wireless on my WRT54G

Hi all
I have WRT54G v5 Wireless Broadband Router, recently I upgraded firmware by downloading from linkSys site. The problem is now that I cannot enable the wireless access, when ever I change "enable" wireless and try to save, error message occurs. Another problem is that most of the time, router hangs/stop and I have to reset(on/off) it most of time. At same time, the performace of this device is very poor. I have 1GB streamyx barodband line, but when I check the speed hardly I can get 50Kbps upload and 200Kbps download.

Please help me how to solve the problem.
