Current company counter offer

Last month, i tender my resignation on 26th. I have a notice period of 3 months. My current company is a well known company as it was a Public Listed company. I got an offer from my ex-boss, which he joined this new company that been around the market like 1-2 years? He is offering me 50% increment from my current pay, and I would be getting a manager role, which is a next step for me in my career, as I get to build my team, and learning new roles & responsibilities.

Current Company

I've been with the company for like 1 years and 9 months now. I am handling mostly BD & Project Manager in my current company After i tender my resignation, my reporting manager wanted to counter offer me, but after she get to know that I got 50% increment, she couldn't counter offer me. The increment is higher than her current pay lol. Hence after the discussion with the CEO, she passed my letter to HR team. Now, another Group Product Head (which is 1 level higher than my CEO), learned about my resignation, and he wanted me to joined his team (as this new boss just in this company like 2 months?). Although he is Group level, but he is quite a friendly person and're my lunch buddy this few weeks since he joined. Others seniors in the company doesn't call him for lunch.

After the discussion with HR (with the recommendation from Group Product Head), HR offered me a Assistant Manager role (because I am from senior associate position, can't jump to Manager lol), with a pay of 55% increment. For me it is quite okay with the new title, role, and responsibilities, as i am changing a new department & role. And this position is regional role as well. I will learn new things and under this new boss.

Reasons, why I tender my resignation earlier, was because I got an better offer, a manager title (which next career step for me is to build & lead a team). I have no problem with my current company and my current reporting manager is also nice to me.

New Company

The company that I wanted to join is a new company like 1-2 months in the Malaysia? Their HQ is based in overseas. I got offered as a Marketing Manager, which is a different role to me. Prior i joined my current company, i was from a marketing background, and report to my ex-boss, which will be the Head of Marketing here. Although i left my ex-company, we're stilll constant in keeping touch, he is also my job-mentor and a very good friend. He understood my current financials, and he offer me a 50% increment fromy my current pay, and offered me a manager role.

Besides the pay of 50%, the allowance was like RM400? I signed the offer letter the day i tender my resignation letter, and he keep asking me about the early release, which my current company doesn't want to early release me.

TLDR:

Current company counter offfer
+55%, + Higher position (Senior associate > Assistant Manager)
+ new company laptop (surface pro), 16 day AL (previously 14), Entertainment allowance (RM2,000 need to claim), Travelling/overseas allowance (Claimable)
No need for probation, will be under the department of product, regional role and 2 people will be reporting to me
Location: 20KM from house

New company offer[/I]

16 days AL, will be back to Marketing as Marketing Manager
6 months probation period
Location 28KM from house (need to pass toll)

My question is, which offer is better?
I am leaning towards staying in current company with accepting the counter offer. As this position i can see is handling regional which is a good exposure to me. A new department & new boss (Will be no issue with politics, as previously i am under CEO, new boss is Group Product Head, which is 1 level higher than him).

Let me know your thoughts about accepting a counter offer. I am 27 this year with 4 years working experience. My current pay was Rm5.5k and i been with this company for 1 years & 9 months.

Hi all,

Would like to ask advises regarding JPJ eBid. Appreciate if those have experience in this can share some ya.

The other day I bid a number sucessfully using my cousins account and paid accordingly. The Slip have sent out by JPJ through the email and all the owner information is under my cousins name. Would like to ask, possible to change the slip details to my current details? I have bought a new car recently, loan approved and paid DP. Pending car plate only, which I need to provide to the SA..

Diagnosed with colorectal cancer

Hi everyone,

Sorry about the midnight rant..
Me and my gf are 25 years old and right now are close to 8 years relationship.. On January 5, she went to do colonoscopy and found out she was diagnosed with colorectal cancer stage 2 and it’s 3-4 CM from the rectum..

Upon done MRI scan and CT scan, luckily it has not spread to lungs and cervix areas.. Doctor recommend she to do a chemotherapy for 2 months then follow on with surgery.

She will do doing chemo after CNY.. But here’s the risk, possible after chemo, she might not be able to pregnant again in the future as it might destroy the cells in the ovary areas.. Doctor do suggest her to freeze the egg but she is scare to do it.. i am not pressureing her to do it.

If she did freeze the egg and still can’t get pregnant in the future so be it.. I am okay with that.. but again, this is not the current priority as treating the colorectal cancer is the main priority now.. I am confuse now.

Possible any one in the forum has similar situation that can give advice on? Any recommended fertility center in Klang Valley and does it pain? Or should I just ask her to skip the freeze egg part and just focus on chemo first? I am confuse...
