Perfect Wedding - HK movie 2010

When I first saw the title Perfect Wedding I thought well life is not perfect how could a wedding be perfect?

Luckily the movie itself is self explanatory, that's the name of the wedding studio where Miriam Yeung stars as Lok Yan and her job is a wedding planner. She was abandoned by her ex-boyfriend on her wedding day until she meets Fung (Raymond Lam).

The movie itself would bring some laughter for comedy lovers as both need to face love challenges in their everyday working adult life. As for my own review I think this movie is worth 3 out of 5 stars.

Been single for almost 9 years

I broke up with my ex-gf on May 2002. After that I have been constantly unsuccessful with dates and girls until today. I'm not here to gain sympathy or find a new love but just curious about the thoughts of being single.

For me as I grow older I get less interested with love maybe because of the hurt I received from my ex. Even some person I know they too are divorced with kids. I am still single and lonely but I always think positive.

For single members mind to share your thoughts of being single?

Facebook kills marriages

Now as we know more and more Malaysians are becoming Facebook members daily in order to keep in touch with their friends. However, I am deeply disturbed when I found a link on the web saying "Facebook kills marriages"

http://www.asiaone.com/Multimedia/LifeStyl...0112-12016.html

And based on the interviews with the ladies it looks real. So beware, don't let Facebook ruins your marriage life!

What is your favorite Asian movie for 2010?

Ice Kacang Puppy Love is a 2010 Malaysian movie released by director Tan Kheng Seong. Tan is also popularly known as 'Ah Niu', a Malaysian singer who is quite popular in late 1990s not only in Malaysia but also Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan and even China.

Ice Kacang refers to shaved nuts, a local Malaysian cold dessert that are greatly enjoyed by Malaysians both locally and abroad. What is so special about this movie is this is the first movie directed by Tan, who is a Malaysian of Chinese descent. All the actors and actresses in the movie are also Malaysian of Chinese descent.

The scenes from the movie goes back to 1980s, where people and neighbours are quite friendly and helpful with each other. During the hot day they eat iced nuts or play marbles for the kids. It is so much different in Malaysia now when technology like internet and mobile phones become part of Malaysian lifestyle.

I fell in love with this movie although this is the first movie directed by Tan. He isn't well-known yet in the Western cinema but I think he got potential to climb up the ladder some day. Although it is a low-budget Malaysian movie the movie is worth to be watched. Below are the synopsis and the trailer for the movie:

http://filmasia.blogspot.com/2010/11/ice-k...aysia-2010.html
