Hello, I need help. Currently my lappy run on 2gb ram,the default one..it's ddr3,double sided,8 chips,1066MHz.

I see another slot for additional ram and I'm thinking to purchase additional 2gb to make it 4gb in total.

Now I have 2 options..I found the identical ram like the default one,however it's a refurbished unit. I like it coz it's cheaper,but refurbished?

Other option is to get new one..but different brand..ddr3,single sided,4 chips,1333MHz.

Is it okay to mixing different ram?

any mechanics or car expert here? i need opinion according to symptom below...btw i am driving old ford ranger 2003 manual with 46k milage. car noob here.

1) high rpm but little acceleration on 3rd,4th,5th gear.car feel heavy and no pickup.its like revving in neutral.when this thing happen i release accelerator pedal a bit, car jerks and pickup getting better.

2) my clutch pedal a bit stiff. not sure if its normal or not for this type of car because i am getting used to it,but i can tell its stiff.

3) clutch biting point is really high.only engages near the released pedal position.

4) change right drive shaft boot yesterday then i realized when braking,steering wheel and car turn to left when car almost fully stop. never happen before.

here is the situation..

i mostly use a/c power to power up my laptop,without battery...but whenever i want to move to my room,i just put my pc to sleep mode, insert battery(stored with 40% charge),wait it to charge for few sec then i switch off power outlet.

then, if i want to use my pc back, with the battery still in there and in sleep mode,i plug in the a/c adapter,switch on power outlet and wait it to charge for 5 sec,then simply take out the battery,then turn on the pc.

is my habit good for the battery???

as i know,Schmidt Marketing is the official nissin distributor in Malaysia and should give 2 years warranty.

Only found 1 seller have this model for Sony,but only come with 1 year warranty..so hard to find others

here's my situation,

i have a very old laptop(8 years old++) with winxp. before this thing happen,i got windows error like this

ATI DRIVER ERROR MSG

then the screen goes crazy and pixelated twice,i restart and it's load normal..after few second got bsod twice before completely dead.

now,whenever i tried to startup my pc,nothing happen.power supply ok,cpu fan spinning..i can hear hard disk spinning and the head trying to read data before it goes silent, but screen was blank,no bios screen whatsoever..

yesterday,brought this pc hdd(20gb ibm travelstar) to shop to buy cheapo external case..one shop claim this hdd already dead,becoz thier pc can't detect,the other shop saying something is falling inside hdd(yes i could hear something loose/rattle when i turn it over) without testing it.

hdd problem?graphic?mobo?

recently i sent my notebook for hdd exchange and when i turn on(with new hdd) it's instantly load into win7 like normal..i'm not sure how they install win7 since i didn't gave them recovery dvd i've created with the previous hdd.

so now i'm not sure if i need to create another/new recovery dvd for this new hdd or just use previous one if something bad happen?

i am quiet happy with my current wired modem, but i think having wifi is more convenient and portable, but i don't know should i change to wireless modem or stick with wired modem since i only use streamyx 384kbps...

Hard Disk Failing

win 7 user here...

just got hard disk failing warning message few hours ago and now i am clueless..

i actually quiet confused with Windows Backup and Restore utilites..don't know how much space needed to save my data.

i need to save 2 partition,C - win and app around 30gb,and E which contain all my data about 120gb.

what to do?should i get external hard disk then copy all my data(especially partition E)?is that possible since my internal hard disk is failing.

or use dvd?

i am really stuck now, don't know which brand should i buy...

it's for my kitty (diameter:55mm),budget under RM100 for cpl, maybe need to buy uv filter too, budget around RM50-70...very tight budget here..

scared to buy fake hoya/kenko, but some people said cheapo filter will produce low image quality..so i need something cheap but reliable(might not use it too often) shop around kl.

any suggestion guys??octopus?keep?sunblitz?
