Hello, I need help. Currently my lappy run on 2gb ram,the default one..it's ddr3,double sided,8 chips,1066MHz.

I see another slot for additional ram and I'm thinking to purchase additional 2gb to make it 4gb in total.

Now I have 2 options..I found the identical ram like the default one, however it's a refurbished unit. I like it coz it's cheaper, but refurbished?

Other option is to get new one..but different brand..ddr3,single sided,4 chips,1333MHz.

Is it okay to mixing different ram?

Thank you
