Call bank from Thailand

I need to contact the bank to authorise oversea transactions from Thailand. I got Hotlink and AIS card on me now,but when I use Hotlink line it speaks some Thais to me, if I use AIS it says I have insufficient balance. What should I do? sitting in front of the ATM right now 🥲

Edit: I enabled Maybank overseas debit from website but the ATM still refuse the transactions.

How to find the right communities to join?

So basically I grew up spending most of my time interacting with people from various online communities. Over the past year I've been trying to expand my social circle since my friends are drifting apart due to various reasons. However this has not been an easy task for me, as I struggle to find the right offline community to form a bond with.

Over the past year, I've tried various groups with little to no success:
- Soup Kitchen: Feel pointless to travel great distance to distribute food when there are already plenty of volunteers.
- Tzu Chi: Mostly old timers so it's not what I'm looking for.
- Meetup: Not many locals in this app so it doesn't align with my goals as the connection tends to be fleeting.
- Discord Server: Feels like people already have a clique of their own, so it's an uphill battle to fit in.
- Random Badminton Session: People just play and then leave?

So I'm at my wits end as it seems that most people of my age bracket (20s - 30s) either only hang out with their old friends or SO, so I'm not sure what else I could do to find a new community I could hang around with. I'm also not very religious so I wouldn't be true to myself if I force myself to join religious activities just for the sake of meeting new people.

Where to find volunteer work

I would love to spend my free time to uplift the less fortunate, however I'm not entirely sure where should I start.

Should I just call up Tzu Chi and try to join them? I'm also open to any other opportunities, but preferably one with an actual community so I'm not doing it alone.

I'm fine with either activities in Klang Valley or Seremban.

I want to buy a few books, but is there anyway to find a store that sells the exact book you're looking for? It would be very tedious to ask at each bookstore.

My last resort would be buying it from oversea, but if possible I would rather buy it locally. I try to avoid Shopee because it seems most books over there are fake copies of the original.

Why PAS rarely work together with UMNO

Not sure where to post this, but what's preventing PAS from working together, or even combine with UMNO? Even before merdeka, PAS has been playing the role of opposition. Does this mean they're fundamentally incompatible in terms of ideology?

Apparently they worked together for a moment from 1969 to 1978, then they split again due to darurat in Kelantan. But I was wondering if people from both side are simply too different to form a pact.

Freshies here, have to eat out everyday, for a year at least, since landlord don't allow people to cook at rental, what's the healthiest options for me? Chap fan? Vegetarian meal?

For breakfast, I can prepare simple stuff like overnight oats and peanut butter sandwich. I also try to have protein shake everyday. All that left would be lunch and dinner.

Hi all, my next job will require me to work at Bangsar. So I'm trying to find a place to rent.

My plan right now is to stay at Seputeh, then walk to Abdullah Hukum LRT through Mid Valley, before stopping at Bangsar LRT station.

However, I'd love to know if there's any better option? Ideally I'll spend about RM600 on rental, but I can stretch my budget to RM800 if the other option is much better.

Mounting a fire extinguisher on car

In light of recent events, I've decided to get a bigger fire extinguisher for my car, probably a 4kg.

However, I'm not sure what's the right way to mount a big fire extinguisher on a car. Anyone can share their experience? Afaik grab/taxi driver needs to mount one on their car.

On a side note, please consider getting one for your car too, regardless of the size. It saddens me to see most people not being able to do anything while the victim is stuck in the burning wreck.

Feel like stepping up my sandal game. However coming from RM20 slipper, the price of Birkenstock seems rather steep at 300+.

I saw brand such as Kickers offering sandal with seemingly similar materials and construction (suede leather top, cork middle, EVA bottom). Anyone can vouch for its quality/durability? Price is merely a fraction of the former too.

Even cheaper alternative exist too, but at that point you're getting materials like PU, which is bad in terms of longevity.
