boss said he's broke, 30 yr old only 1k saving, while his peer alrdy have 100k saving, got car got house. but boss know his risk taking move worthwhile, although he'd lost money in trying different biz he's still dream big, throwing his salary till dry every month back then

now boss 34, house 1mil plus, got few bmw sitting at home and often holiday like yolo in europe, meanwhile all of his peers is still working..

boss advise me not to save money and dream bigger, he said that 100-200k saving isn't make much different unless it's mni 7 figure.

Should I listen to him? if it take off ok to become rich what if im 40 didn't make any shit and still 1k saving? haha

if I born in SG, I can't compete with NUS grad

if I born in China, one interview I will get accompany by at least 50 candidates

if I born in Philippines or Thai, I might become pondon, drug addicted and most likely live in property

if I born in Japan maybe I will kill myself or die working till 12am everyday

but lucky I'm a Malaysian, I no study also can ended up being a science grad, then got ptptn to loan to enter uni (although it's pretty rubbish and I learned ntg), didn't really study also can pass - second upper class lagi, then go interview easily can kena selected coz mostly my competitor either spm cert only or from grad of uitm.. I alrdy bought nice car and house since 27, what else we can complain being a Malaysian? We should all be bersyukur this land doesn't have earthquake!

me: OT too much aka working for free to impress my boss, fark him use brainwashing words to make me stay extra 2 hours everyday.

me now go back home on time and avoid task as much as possible, that's call leverage, taught by a senior

Malaysia working scene for software engineer

something is wrong here, you get higher pay because of your yrs of working exp but not ur skill, why is this only in Malaysia? Is the newer comer bullied or the experienced one know how to brag? I'm not comparing randomly, this is my own exp. It really not about contribution, both of them do the same job, working in the same project, somehow the not so performing one get way higher pay, jst because of his extra 2 yrs exp, I don't get it.

after 3 yrs working as a .NET dev I doubt I want to continue to work as a coder in the future

after 3 yrs I think I'm still a newbie, coz in this 3 yrs I don't really work fully, coz sometime requirement delay and those easy bug fix I don't actually learn much. I see my friends who're working in startups, they can code their side project during the weekend, seems like they're enjoying what they do. Of course I can be happy being a mediocre coder and expect less, I can see my senior all not so good dev,but manage to survive (at least have a job)..
