Home Theater in a box (HTIB) to connect with AVR

Hi All

Need some advise from experts here. I'm not entirely familiar with audio setup hence the questions needed here.

I've got a small home theater in a box (HTIB) that is LG BH6330H.

My question is can it be connect to use an AV Receiver instead?

I noted that the player is the main controller for the speakers but the player have limited connections such as a HDMI in.
Not sure if I connect the other devices into the TV whether the sound can be output to the HTIB. Can't seem to find any player that has HDMI in on the market.

What if the player sudah rosak, can I still use the existing speakers and sub-woofer to connect to an AV Receiver?

Using an AV Receiver, is it a must to buy all speakers and sub-woofer that is a standalone and built to be connected to it?

How to remove a damaged screw thread?

Hi All

Need some advise and experience from you experts. Had an old HP laptop and one of the screw thread on the cover that close the hdd sudah rosak. A little bit over tightened it the screw with a screw driver, the screw thread is now gone. After few attempts tried, the screw thread pretty much becomes like an almost cylinder shape.

Any can share their experience how to pry it open with a damaged screw thread?

Display port to Mini Display Port Adapter

Need to check you experts here.

Got a Dell U2711 and Mac Mini. Would like to utilise the Mini Display Port for the high resolutions.
The only way I read is that to find a Display Port to Mini Display Port cable/adapter.
Anybody tries it before? Does it work fine, no wake from sleep issue?

By the way, anybody knows where to get this adapter here? Seems hard to find it.

New Atom mobo query

Hi All

Need to check with you experts on this. I got the new Atom D410 and D510 mobo. It seems Intel had change the PSU from 20 pin connector to 24 pin connector. This resulted in most of my mini-itx casing which runs those small PSU with most of it on 20 pin connector.

So what I did was bought the 20 to 24 pin PSU connector to resolve the incompatibility. That's when I got this problem. It looks to me that the case does power on and lights onboard and on the chassis front panel . But the monitor screen is blank for both mobo. No boot screen at all.

I'm not sure whether it's the pin connector converter is rosak or the new Atom mobo can only run on 24 pin PSU or maybe it's a mobo defect.

Anybody encountered this problem or stumble on a solution to resolve this while still using a 20 pin connector PSU?

Appreciate any help.
