UKM Law or Business?

Well, so I got offered both courses. But the catch is I got the Law offer through their direct intake (which means I have to pay around RM50k) while the Business Admin degree (also comes with an option to switch to Accounting/Finance later on depending on future results) is just RM7k (UPU). Is a Law degree worth an extra RM40k? Personally, I am slightly more inclined to do Law, but I can't overlook the cost. In a bit of a dilemma right now and would be thankful to get some advice from you guys. Thanks

Matriculation to STPM

So, I was offered both STPM and Matriculation and I went to Form 6 for a week before leaving and I just joined Matrics yesterday. The thing is, I don't think I can survive in this place and I really want to go back to Form 6 so bad. How do I do this? Does anyone know the procedures to leave Matriculation and go back to Form 6? I'd rather study for something more difficult then suffer here.

About STPM

Well, related to the title, does having a good result in STPM (let's take 4-flat) overrule a mediocre SPM result (I've just gotten 5As, but atleast credit in everything)? I'm looking at arts related courses, and the subjects I did badly are the Science ones. Are there scholarships if you perform really well in STPM? And also, I noticed that most courses in IPTAs only ask for a selected few subjects in SPM. Would it be alright if I let's say, met the minimum requirement for the subjects they asked (no straight As here), and do reasonably well in STPM? Will I still be accepted? Or is this it?

Non-bumi requirements to enter matriculation?

I've just applied for this, but I'm a non-bumi, and I would like to know what the minimum requirements are for non-bumis who want to do this? Are we supposed to have straight As and high coco pointers and etc.? Thinking of applying for the Accounting stream there.

Any input, especially from those who are doing/have done matriks would be much appreciated

LAW @ MMU

Can anyone enter their Foundation programme, and later on the degree programme?
Is it even a good idea to enter MMU for Law, as I heard many corporations do not even think of touching their grads?

Any other info regarding this? Is it being CLP-exempted a good thing?

Anyone who has done/doing this? Care to share your experiences? Thinking of going for MMU for Law haha

Pathway to becoming a lawyer in Malaysia?

Hello everyone,

Well, I've just finished with SPM. My guess is that I'll get around 6/7/8 A's in it (Science stream). Kinda flunked in Add. Maths (hopefully that isn't too vital for Law), hoping what I "goreng"ed in the paper will get me at least a credit (heard the marks to obtain a C aren't that high in SPM). Even Bio/Chemi also is kinda at the borderline ady.
Applied for Matrikulasi, and I'm not a bumi, so I don't think I should have much hopes on this one (even more after seeing that Add Maths is one of the subjects required for merit calculation).

I definitely don't want anything to do with the Sciences in the future. So, what are my pathways to study Law? I've got plenty of questions, and I guess you guys are the pro's in this, and this is the best place to ask.

My parents told me to go for STPM and enrol in the Arts stream, and aim to get into an IPTA (UM preferrably). And if I wanna get in this route, what are the subjects I would be required to take up? If I score well enough in STPM, that is. Is this a good idea? Would it work? I've seen cases where people with 4.0 pointers in STPM fail to make it for Medicine/Pharmacy. Is Law in the same category? Is obtaining straight-A's in SPM vital to obtain a IPTA spot even though my STPM is good? What would I need to achieve in STPM? What are the SPM requirements for Law in IPTAs (UM, more specifically).

What are the other paths besides this? What should I do next? What are the pathways I've gotta take?

They don't seem to be any foundation programmes for Law as far as I've seen.

I could go to BAC/Taylor's or some other private university for Law, but I'd have to do a twinning programme thing. My family doesn't really have the money to spend for that.
I've read about the CLP examination and how tough that is. I'm trying to get into something that would get me exempted from this.
I would like to practice in Malaysia after I graduate.

And is doing Law even a good idea today, in terms of pay and etc.? Or should I just forget it and go on with a career related to Sciences?

Too many questions, hope you guys can help me out here. Thanks.
