Item(s): Crucial m500 2.5" SSD 120GB

Package includes: SSD + Bubble warp from warranty

Price: RM220(BEST PRICE) bought RM400+

Warranty: 1 week personal warranty

Dealing method: COD, postage + RM10

Location: Penang, KL

Contact method/details: 012-4217298 (Call/Whatsapp/Message)
---

Item(s) conditions: NEW

Picture:
http://www.crucial.com/usa/en/ct120m500ssd1
[attachmentid=4126715]

Reason for sale: Bought a new SSD while waiting for the replacement.

From SSD Review:
[attachmentid=4126724]
This SSD is quick and efficient and will do the job in just about any machine. A Marvell controller drives this device along with MLC flash-component technology and SATA 3 compatibility. This SSD supports the TRIM command and S.M.A.R.T. monitoring, and is ROHS compliant. It has a form factor of 2.5 inches, but unfortunately does not come with a 3.5-inch mounting kit. Unless your computer is built to house 2.5-inch drives, you will need to purchase a separate mounting kit to install this SSD.

The Crucial M500 solid-state drive has impressive sequential read and write speeds of up to 500MB/s and 250MB/s, respectively. This device is capable of random write speeds of up to 60,000 IOPS. It has a seek time of 0.1ms – which is standard for solid-state drives. This device is shock resistant up to 1,500G (G forces), with a life expectancy of 1.2 million hours. While this is a good life expectancy, it falls a little short of those for competing SSDs. The Crucial M500 also consumes a bit more power during operation than most SSDs, using 1.5 watts while active.

Capacity offerings for the Crucial M500 solid-state drive are great, but it is lacking in a minimalistic option. You can pick up a Crucial M500 in capacities of 120, 240 and 480GB, as well as a massive 960GB drive. While there are several multi-terabyte HDD options, it is rare to see a consumer-level solid-state drive offer such a high storage capacity. This, of course, comes with a high price tag. We were disappointed by the lack of options smaller than the 120GB offering from Crucial, but the 120GB M500 is affordable and can serve well as a boot drive for your OS.

Help and support options from Crucial are outstanding. You can contact a technical support representative via telephone or email, or initiate a live chat session on the website. Also available from the Crucial website are a FAQs section, community forum and an online manual for the Crucial M500 SSD. Furthermore, you can download firmware updates directly from the source, which is much more reliable than performing a search for updated drivers.

Crucial M500 Summary:	7.1/10
The Crucial M500 solid-state drive isn't a bad choice for those looking to upgrade their existing storage device. If you want a high-capacity consumer-level SSD, Crucial has a massive 960GB option with your name on it. Read and write speeds on this SSD are impressive. We are disappointed by the lack of an included 3.5-inch mounting kit, but this is a small concern. The Crucial M500 is a good choice for a solid-state drive.
