Just want to vent my frustration and anger about the very bad crowd control at Nokia X6 Launch Party at Bukit Equestrian Indoor Arena on 29/1 and misrepresentation (read: false advert) on local newspaper about the offer Nokia X6 for RM66 for 66 persons.

If most of you read the local newspaper just this week, you would have notice just this:

Nothing in the newspaper was mentioned about redemption coupons, and nothing about balloting for 66 winners. Naturally, those positive minded kakis camped from morning until 7.00pm & foregoing their meals and toilet breaks.

The crowd build-up was getting bigger as time was getting nearer and matter was getting worse with rain on that afternoon. The crowd was also barred from bringing umbrellas. You can really imagine they are all wet. I do really pity them.

Since there was limited place for cover, the organiser did not think it is important to keep the crowd safe and comfortable. There was limited Rela members and most of Nokia crew was inside the arena well shielded from the element. Naturally, there were a lot of pushing and shoving coming close to the opening time. Since there was no announcement regarding the process of balloting, most the people thought it was only the 1st 66 pax will get to buy the X6 at RM66. As I can see it, there were people (male and female, blue and pink) who were pushed and fell to the ground. Imagine if there was a stampede, live could be lost because of the poorly handled crowd from organiser. And worst of all, the organiser shouted at the crowd and withhold the redemption coupons. This agitated the crowd even more.

I felt cheated it was not a transparent ballot / draw. It was not done on stage and in front of everyone, but somewhere behind the scene. Who can vouched that it was not rigged? True enough. 3,000 coupons was handed out that day. The 66 draws favoured those bigger numbers (latecomers?). And one number came out twice (dua kali - coincidence?): 2853. And at the redemption counter, the person in charged already had a printed copy of all the draw numbers. I thought how could it be so fast? Didn't see any printer there. Yeah, it could be pre-drawn earlier. And the organizer could have already passed some of those winning coupons to their cohorts.

Don't mistaken me for I'm not a sore loser. But I'm more concern with the crowd safety and the manner in which how the ballot or draw is done.

As a World Class company, NOKIA, you SUCKS big time. I'm really and truly disappointed with you. Some pics just to share with you.

Just before opening but the RELA security / Nokia crew are hiding behind the curtain. They did not bother to keep the crowd in orderly manner.

The madness of pushing and shoving almost begin. The people behind me pushed me after this. Almost fell :-(

just got my legit retail copy Home Premium 64bit. Just hit my first BSOD due to prog incompatibilities (MarvellTray.exe to install Raid0). Not so compatible as it was touted to be. Disappointed.

anyway, just wondering if anyone has any luck connecting to Internet TV? If can connect, please share how you do it?

My Car Interior Was Attacked by Mold/Mildew

Guys, seriously need help here!
After parking my car at home for the last few months, my wife called to let me know that heavy patches of mold and mildew grew at the car windows, interior seats, panel and car speakers. Suspect that moisture had seeped into the car without realising it.

My car is a 1999 Nissan Sentra with fabric seats and plasticky panel.

Any suggestion for a good car interior cleaner around Klang Valley?

Guys, I'm trying to build a HTPC using HDMI to link g/card to TV. Any recommendations for a reasonable useful wireless kb/mouse that can be use from a couch/kitchen/bed. My budget is about RM300. Some review sites recommended :

1. Microsoft Wireless Entertainment 7000
2. Logitech Dinovo Edge
3. Microsoft Wireless Entertainment 8000

Appreciate your thoughts on any other choices as good as those listed.

Guys, want to find out if Tamcorp (Mesdaq: Tech 0.335sen @ 13/2/09) worth buying? You see, this counter is reducing its par value to 0.20sen (current: 0.50sen). Thus, returning 0.30sen TE per share to shareholders. This mean I pay on 0.035 sen per share only.

After ex, will the share price drop to 0.035 sen? I really don't know. Pls advice as the ex date is very near.

Guys, just wanna find out what happen to this company? i have RM100+ credit on their plan and I had tried to use their gateway numbers to make calls today but found that all the gateway numbers were already disconnected. Tried to surf their website (http://www.nasioncom.com.my) & gosh! it was also removed!

Guys, just want to know what is the difference between 2.3Ghz and 2.5Ghz. Why 4 companies were awarded the 2.3Ghz bandwith, but TM and Maxis is still testing and pursuing the 2.5Ghz with MCMC.

Apparently also there is no hardware supporting Wimax in the market yet. And Intel will only come up with a Wimax chip in 2008. Mobile devices that support Wimax also sucks up a lot of batt power. What is the fuss?

I'm so confused...
