From gloves, to tech stocks, to crypto just last week.

Once I buy in sure down at least 30-70%.

I have been investing over five years. Tried Warren style, held airasia tight tight until now lost 70%.

Trade stocks like AT, JOHAN, PDZ.. gg

Decided go for good stock earning stock, Topglove, ruberex, all GG

Now try my luck in crypto, everything bull and when I buy only terus drop 20-30%.

Shitcoins I jialat 70% losses hodl

Fed up liao.

I believe some people are born to not have luck in investing.

I did CFA, tried fundamental analysis, read technical analysis book at least 5 of them, tried to follow entry exit point, all failed.

Company I joined, always kena bad luck. When I decided to leave, the company did fundraise, got new projects, found more clients etc.. when I’m there all downhill, include my current company.

My luck is so bad in making money. 30 year old and don’t even have 10k savings because all loss in investment. If I save in bank, even without FD, I would have saved 100k in 7 years of my working life.

Conclusion, some people are just not meant to touch investment.

This boss of mine in MNC co blatantly tell in meeting that he knows who puts in effort and who did not.

And he cite those who put in effort are those who answers his call midnight and early morning, to the extent he even say meet on weekend to work on things. AND that’s not even our KPI.

How come we Malaysians are all so absorbed in pleasing big bosses to extent we sacrifice family time, own time, relax time?

We are debating in the startup industry on the correlation between wealth and relative success of a startup.

Startup tends to burn like crazy in initial years, and without even few hundred thousands to burn it, most of us can dream of it.

Imagine you earn 5k a month, family no insurance, sick, or no income, you are basically having to spend most money to take care of your family. How can we have startup like that?

Hustling or bootstrapping is easier said than done. But it is possible.

So /k with Grab, is it a Malaysia Dream like American Dream where anything is possible?

Do we have to tell the young and less wealthy dreamers that even if you are not rich you can be successful in founding startup?
