Any examples or guide on getting ddwrt to work ?

I tried many times configuring ddwrt to work with Maxis Fiber. It's just strange. Sometimes the vlan tagging would disappear all together, other times it would be okay but just would not connect and in the end the interface is marked as disabled. Has anyone here got this working before ? Mind sharing some pointers or tutorials ? I am trying to use my old WRT54G v5 to play router duties.

I am one of those who switch from Unifi to Maxis Fiber. So now I have 1 unifi silver btu and 1 maxis router. I do dial up using my own router which runs pfSense. I maintain the Maxis router just to have VOIP. My question is can you configure the unifi router to have the Maxis VOIP instead ?

Irritating laggy spotlight

There is a very irritating bug on Iphone (5s) where the spot light is laggy and sometimes non functional where when you look for an app it returns nothing for example when I search for "Contacts". Can't seem to find this problem anywhere else. Anyone else have this problem ?
