Just kepoh did a survey of price online for cars around GBP25-26k in the UK.
These are actual price quotes from authorised car dealers in the UK and the cars are BRAND NEW (not used).

Since quite a lot of people asking about car wash/polish/wax from time to time, thought it might be a good idea to start a thread for recommendations/reviews. I'll start with the ones I've tried within KL/PJ area.

Comments: Washed my car a couple of times here, didn't feel the car was clean enough as they have a lot of customers in the weekend (rushed job). Car polish/wax wasn't great either, and I got conned by the manager there to buy windscreen coating.
Verdict: Not recommended.

Price: cant remember as I bought the package for polish/wax last time
Comments: Left my car here for half a day for polish/wax to remove hairline scratches, but ended up getting new scratches for my car (only realised this after reaching home). Some scratches are quite deep somemore. Very very disappointing.
Verdict: Not recommended.

Well, people say if you don't take action, nothing is gonna happen. So what would you do if you saw a girl you like in a mall (or any public area)?

Would you go and approach her? How would you approach her? Make up an excuse or just be direct?

hi all,

just wondering what is your approach in dating? like these days, it's easy to find someone to date on dating apps.

do u date several girls, then slowly filter it down to one? (the problem with this is, it can be quite tiring to date several girls at the same time. also what if they find out?)

or date 1 first... then if not ngam or kena reject then find a 2nd one? (i find this too time consuming)

what is your approach? (girls and guys welcome to comment, would be good to hear from both sides)

Using Deposit for Last 2 Months of Rent

Requested for my landlord to use my 2 months security deposit for my final 2 months rent but he rejected, even though I said he can come to inspect the property which I've maintained in good condition.

I'm not happy with this as there is no reason for him to withhold my deposit as I've been a good tenant throughout my tenancy - after reading stories of how the landlord treat their tenants here, I'm kinda worried that he might not want to return my deposit / return after deducting various unreasonable repair/cleaning costs (he's quite the fussy kind).

Should I just not pay for the last 2 months rent anyway? There's also a 0.5 month utilities rent so if I dont pay rent, he might not return that amount too.

What should I do? It seems that being a good tenant is really pointless.... no thanks to all these greedy fussy landlords.

Update: Contract ended, house cleaned and keys returned. As expected, landlord did not want to refund my deposit. What should I do now?

Recommended C-seg car

Looking to change my car (been driving a used C-seg car for a while now).

Usage: Mainly to get to work, family outings (parents) in the weekends, pickup amoi once in a while (still single)

Looking for: Comfort, safety and reliability (low maintenance). RV probably the lowest priority as I plan to get a 2nd car once I have a family and keep this as a spare until it dies a slow death.

At the moment, I'm slightly leaning towards the Civic, but not sure what you guys might think. Ioniq's safety features really tempt me a lot but not sure about its reliability.

Please vote and justify your choice? Would love to hear from current owners of the above cars too. Thanks!

To renovate or not to renovate

Selling a landed property (double storey terrace) with quite a lot of land space for extension at the front.

The problem is, this house has been neglected since I moved out a few years ago (so kinda messy, dirty etc) and renovation is definitely needed.

Question is - should I renovate and sell at a higher price, or just sell as it is so that the new owner has more freedom to renovate it to his/her preference?
