Camber setting for spirited driving

Hi!

What's the best camber setting for spirited driving on weekends?
I do more driving on weekends compared to weekdays.

What's the best setting for a front wheel drive with mcpherson struts at the front, torsion beam at the rear. I know too much negative camber causes the tyres to wear way faster. I don't mind a slighty faster wear rate in exchange for a better spirited driving experience.

Investment for fresh graduate?

Hi guys, I'm a fresh graduate and I'll be starting my career this month. I've been reading and researching about investing as I'm interested to do so.

I'm here to ask for your opinions and suggestions. In Malaysia, what investment scheme would you recommend a fresh graduate to invest in? I would love to know so that I can research more about your suggestions.

Thanks in advance.

Which would you choose?

I have a situation on my hands.
I'm here to ask your personal opinion and advice.

I am a fresh graduate and the most realistic options I have now are:

Option 1
Go for a job that I enjoy but pays low.
Salary range is rm2500 to rm2800

Option 2
Go for a job that I don't really enjoy but pays high (for entry level positions)
Salary range is rm3000 to rm4000

I'm in a dilemma because I feel with the higher pay, I can save more and start investing sooner. One of my goals is to have my own business, not necessarily my main source of income but maybe a side business (for now, that's the plan but, in life, plan don't always works out).

So with the higher pay, I can save more of my monthly income and I can start investing sooner to get side income.

What are your advices and opinions?

Rotation intervals for tyres.

I know the recommended rotation interval for tyres is 10,000km for normal driving right?

But what about aggressive and hard driving? What's the recommended rotation intervals? 7000km, 5000km? Or maintain the same?

In my case, I go for togues at least 3/4 times a month. What would you recommend?

Engine mount freeplay

Hi guys, I changed my engine mount last month. Recently I've been hearing a rubber squeaking sound whenever I turn the car in low speeds. The sound is also evident when I go up/down slopes or speed bumps.

Today I discovered that there's freeplay on the rubber inserts on the engine mount. Is it normal? I can move it around and I can lift the rubber inserts up and down. I've attached a pic of the engine mount. I've circled the rubber inserts.

Note that the absorber mountings are new, absorbers are a year old, lower arm is still in good shape.

Is the rubber insert freeplay normal?

Hey guys,

Lately I've been seeing a lot of sponsored ads/videos of max racing exhaust system. They have everything from air intakes all the way to mufflers. It looks good on paper, it sounds great in videos.

Was wondering if anyone have used or knows anything about max racing exhaust. Anyone willing to share their reviews or feedbacks on max racing exhaust?

Hi, I've notice a few abnormal sounds and parts on my car. I was just wondering if this is normal? Because I brought it to a mechanic to check and according to him, it's normal. My myvi has just crossed the 100k mileage mark.

This is the first link. It's a video I recorded. Is this coming from the compressor? The noise only comes when I turn on the air-cond.

https://youtu.be/NqEcEUT2n0I

This is the second link to another video I recorded. The engine sounds really rough. Is cause by the waterpump?

https://youtu.be/cOcxcRLCEdk

Another thing I would like to share is my brake discs. I've attached the pictures below. Is that rust normal? It looks pretty bad to me.

I would highly, highly appreciate any feedback from you guys. I'm actually a student so going to the workshop and letting them check isn't really convenient right now. I have to wait for my semester break or long weekends to get it check so that's why I would love to get feedback here first.

Autofoam vs Ultra Racing bars

Hi, I've heard a lot about autofoam and strut bars.
In your opinion, which do you think would be a better upgrade between the two options below?

1) Chassis autofoam

Or

2) front strut bar + rear anti roll bar

My current setup is kyb rs shock absorbers + eibach prokits + 195/55/15 tyres. My car is a myvi. I want to try the chassis autofoam but I'm afraid it'll be too hard for daily driving and the effects is irreversible. UR bars on the other hand, can be taken out if I don't like the effects.

Anyone here using chassis autofoam + ur bars + lowering springs? I know this setup will be stiff but is it manageable for daily driving? Would love to hear your feedback. Thanks!

Myvi brake upgrade?

Hi sifu, as the title suggests, I'm seeking for recommendations for myvi brake upgrades. Car is a myvi 1.3 lagi best.

My budget is around rm600. I occasionally do genting runs on weekends so definitely looking to improve my brakes.

My current problem is I have to step the brake pedal so deep, it feels sinking. Also, during hard braking on high speeds got vibration tho this might be the abs?

The last I changed my brake pads was 3 years ago. The brake fluid looks low tho it's still above the minimum level.

Would definitely be glad to get any recommendations. Thanks.

Absorber leaking?

Bros, recently I notice that my rear absorbers have some oil flowing out. I'm not sure if it's a sign or leakage or not as it's 1 year and 6 months old. I've attached pic below. Hope that yall can clear my confusion. Thanks bros!

On a side note, what absorbers would you recommend? I'm using eibach springs btw. Heard many people recommend Sachs absorbers, imp comfort absorbers and stock kyb absorbers.

Best absorbers for eibach springs

Hello bros,

What is the best absorbers to be paired with eibach pro kit springs on a myvi 1.3 se 2013?

Im thinking of sticking to the stock kyb absorbers as eibach claims their springs can be paired with stock absorbers. Any other recommendations and suggestions? Thank you.

Eibach vs trd sportivo

Hello sifus!!

I'm new into the car modifying scene and I would really appreciate your advice and information.

Which is better?

Option 1= Eibach pro kit springs + sachs/standard absorber (new)
Option 2 = trd sportivo springs + trd sportivo absorbers ? (used)

Car model: myvi 1.3 lagi best se
Suspension: stock springs + stock absorber
Rims: 15x6.5 et40
Tyres: 195 55r15

I'm not looking for a huge drop and I still want at least a relatively decent amount of comfort although I know once you go low you'll lose comfort. But still, myvi fender gap is ugly. I've done some research and I've narrowed down my choices to the 2 options I've mentioned above.

Which is the best option you would choose sifus?
