http://forum.lowyat.net/ Fri, 12 Jun 2026 13:10:45 +0800 FeedCreator 1.7.2 http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/4422451 So last night I have met in a road accident, I was about to make a right turn on a T-junction (no traffic lights) when a motorcycle rammed into the side of my car.<br />My car got a huge dent on the right fender and bumper, lights are damaged too, the bike had even more severe damages and was unable to function. The biker, fortunately, was fine, with just a scrap on his leg, he was still standing tall&#33;<br /><br />Then, a large crowd gathered, as this was my first accident and I am still pretty ignorant about the subject, I suggested that we exchange contacts and settle it within ourselves, accepting to pay damages, but the biker would have none of it and so we went to make a police report at the nearby police station. My car, though able to move, would be further damaged as the metal surrounding the tyre is already scraping against the tyre itself. At that time, I thought I was fortunate, there were people nearby who offered to tow my car towards a nearby workshop and I accepted their offer, with the receipts and everything.<br /><br />Before we went to the police station itself, the people who were associated with the towers towing my car advised me, to make a police statement stating that the accident I met involved no other party, but it was instead a self-inflicted one (e.g. hitting the divider), I was an idiot, and I followed along with it. Then an hour later, the motorcyclist came and straightforwardly claimed that I rammed against his motorcycle. I realized I was screwed, I was caught lying...now just waiting for the kuputusan on my &#39;report&#39; .<br /><br />I have a few questions though, why did the guys want me to lie about my statement? Secondly, what dire consequences would I suffer? Should I make a new report to amend my previous one? Is there anything else I should do?<br /><br />Other facts : I am a P license holder, I do have insurance covered.
