Hey there, so my friend is planning on getting a desktop PC for 3D modeling and design like Siemens NX 12 and Autodesk Powershape, and I read through the requirements for both software which mentions multicore processor. I advised him to get the Ryzen CPU but the seller that is building the PC for him advice him to get the Intel one instead and stated that one of his customer had lag issue with 3Dmax with his 2700X and solved it when switched to i7 8700K. So I would like some help which processor is better for him

Freezing and restart issue need advice

I recently swapped my CPU cooler from the stock cooler to the CM Hyper 212 turbo. After the swap, my PC experienced this strange issue where it freezes after using it for a few minutes then the pc auto restarts. I've checked the CPU temperature using Hwmonitor and the CPU runs at around 40+C so it wasn't the CPU overheating. And this freezing also occurs when I am in the BIOS. I've checked online and follow their instructions to check whether it was the ram by running memtest86+ and it shouldn't be the drive issue since the freezes also occur in the bios. And I've changed back to the stock cooler to see whether it is the issue but the problem stills resides.
The specs of my desktop is:
CPU: i5 7500
Mobo: Gigabyte H270 gaming 3
Ram: 2 x 8gb Kingston ddr4 2400mhz
Storage: WD green 240gb m.2 data SSD(OS) WD black 1tb HDD
