'Hiss' caused by Active Crossover

I just installed an active crossover, MTX LS2 and notice 'hiss' sound produced by the system. The higher i turn up the volume, the louder the 'hiss' will be. its not that kind of 'airplane' sound.. just 'hiss'. Tried to tweak the amp gain, but still there

here are what my system consist of

Headunit: Pioneer FH-P6050UB

Connected to Active Crossover: MTX LS2 (3 way setting)

4 channel pioneer GM-4300F - 2 channel for tweeter and 2 channel for comp

1 monoblock Alpine MRP-850

most noticeable is the 'hiss' on my woofer powered by the monoblock. I am using higher end RCA for this two and do not have any problem with it before

What can i do to eliminate the 'hissing'?

[WTA] tuning Bass Eq for MRP-M850

guys,

need your advise on Bass Eq (the on with dB).. i try to tune.. but dont understand the effect (the other two function - high pass and gain ok)

do i need to suit this with my woofer to get the best result?

[addedon]March 15, 2008, 8:35 pm[/addedon]btw.. is there any different in sound output between 2ohm and 4ohm? the wiring was set for 4ohm - both direct to amp (2 units of 4ohm subs)

First, lets begin with definition of these (found when u select the speaker type - X/Vas/Qts/Fs/Sens/Pmax/Xmax)
well these terms i think is use by this web..

but here are the normal terms:

- Efficiency Bandwith Product
- Vas in Liters
- Total Damping
- Nominal Free Air Resonance Frequency
- Sensitivity in dB at 1 m
- Nominal Maximum Power
- Half of peak to peak (mm)

err anybody mind to explain?

[WTA] Entry Level SQ Amp

I'm a noob here, need u all guidance on choosing amp with reasonable price

I am looking for at least a 4ch amp and here is my current setup

- Alpine 9870E - 1 preout
- Rogers RG-P65 (claimed 500 watt max?) - for front component
- Boschmann 6.5" 350Watt Loudspeaker - for rear (just happened to know that this is just a cap ayam brand, still otw, havent install)

what i am looking for is an amp for my front and future maybe to install sub. so 5ch would be a wise choice i guess. preamp maybe later when budget allow

btw, I have heard this Rogers amp, but the one demo to me is selling at RM1.2k (cant remember the specs, but it support 2 subwoofer out). If I remember correctly it has 80 RMS

got this offer for Rogers amp, 5 ch (front, rear, sub) selling at RM600. wondering if i should consider other brand at this price range (RM500 - 700) - cant remember the RMS for this model

really like rogers stuff but hard to look for review or info on their product in the internet.. any comment on rogers? and any recommendation besides rogers?
