Cable Management for Your Beloved Headphones

If you had own your first pair of audiophile grade headphone, the first thing that you realized is the lengthy (ridiculously long) cable that comes with it. Recently I got a sudden interest to look up some ingenious way to cable manage headphone cables, particulary on YouTube videos. Lo-and-behold, there are tons of ways to manage the cable. And here is what I did with my Sennheiser HD 600:

Styles
There are many different styles that can be applied to coil your headphone cables, with the most easiest and popular ones such as Braid. But I personally prefer the telephone coil style listed below.

Telephone Coil
I started out with this style and I found it to be somehow easy and nice looking. Not sure what this style is exactly called but seeing that it replicates the look for conventional landline telephone coil, I just name it as that.

Some tips:
- Make sure you start with the center. For HD600, I measured the center to roughly 15cm and progress from there. Start anywhere longer than 25cm and you would end up with the coil ending at the jack, which you don't want. You want the coil to be positioned in the 3/4 of the section so you can just lay it on the table and won't have it dangling around.

- The ending part is a bit tricky so I just simply invent my own style

I read some articles on Head-Fi whereby some people are concern about the cross talk. But frankly, I wouldn't worry as much.

* It might be somehow obscure on what the video creator did. But by playbacking a few times and with some attempts on your own, you should have no problem mastering it. I would suggest to use any spare long cable first before attempt to coil one on your precious headphone cables. For starters, I would suggest USB cable.

Hi guys, I'm currently pre-testing my new music streaming site to provide quick music streaming access. It is currently a one-man show so there's definitely room for improvement. Kindly give it a try and comments !

The library might not be huge this time to cover all genre, but as of now, it is not limited to but mostly CJK, Anime, and Game music. This will sure to expand once I manage to expand my NAS.

NOTE: If you are running on Firefox browser, you must install FLASH in order for the muisc streaming to work. Due to licensing reason with MP3, Firefox does not support playback of mp3 files. Other browser with HTML5 support natively, e.g. Google Chrome should work just as fine without Flash.

To access the service using mobile phones, you can choose to download the client below which are FREE.

Apple iOS
iSub Music Streamer [FREE]

After downloading it you will need configure it to access the server by entering:
Server address:
http://musicscrape.zapto.org:8080

and the user account.
*If you're using a guest account, login by entering both 'walker' as the username and password.

Android
dSub

After downloading it to your Android phone, go to Settings.

Click on any of the unused space.

Enter musicScrape server information and your User Account.
