Terminate Unifi broadband

Firstly, I admit, I did not notice the '60GB limit after the first 3 months' thing when Unifi changed their package/speed...lesson learnt. This is for the 30Mbps, RM79/mth.

Now I'm trying to terminate the agreement, but apparently I need to pay them the remainder of the 24 months' monthly charges (so called contract) as penalty.

Is there any way to terminate the agreement without having to pay 21 months of monthly charges (what I have left in my contract period).

It seems like they will get the money either way. Heard Maxis charges RM500 for termination too. RM500 may still be ok, but Unifi penalty is a straight kick in the marbles.

I rather not upgrade with Unifi or buy add ons because Maxis offers better deal.

Any suggestions? Much appreciated.

U***** 'charity' donations

Im censoring the name here because I dont intend to discredit anyone. Just want clarification. But I think all the Sherlocks here can figure it out 😉.

Ok, Im confused with U*****. I have been approached by them so many times especially in malls where they open up like a pop up stall. They have few 'volunteers' to approach people and convince them to sign up for monthly donations.

Ok, before I go any further, let me just say that im not trying to defame U***** in anyway. Just seeking clarification.

Ok now, the 'volunteers' claim to be doing volunteering works but their approach is so persuasive that they come across like insurance salesman.

Once I even told them 'I will think abt this and come back tomorrow if Im willing to sign up for the monthly donation'. They told me 'Oh no no, we are here only for today so must sign up today'. And guess what, they were there on the same spot for a whole week. I work nearby and walkthrough the mall area everyday.

I mean, so far I have only seen organisations asking for one off donation, or they sell items to have the proceeds channelled to charity work. Directly asking passers by for monthly direct debit donation is some next level stuff for me. And using all the sales tactics is just dishonest in my opinion.

Are the 'volunteers' work under commission? If got commission, then its not really volunteering, is it not? Or is there some other scam organisation using U***** badge to persuade people?

I think it goes without saying that a charity organisation that is well off, is not really a charity organisation. Only a small % of donations etc goes to charitable work. There rest?

Please correct me if im wrong. Would appreciate your valuable opinions.

I was wondering, do we need to obtain any license from local authority to do street performance (busking)? Not a major set up, just a man with a guitar and pot for contributions and perhaps an amplifier too.

Do we need to obtain permission from any Jabatan/Majlis/DBKL?

I have a friend who has gone through some hardship. Some friends have recommended her to attend meditation course.

There are so many organisation offering meditation courses (some scam, some legit).

We came across this website http://www.rpt.com.my

Seems to be huge, both positive and negative reviews...ayam not sure whether to ask my friend to try.

The website says this meditation centre is founded by Dato’ Sri V.Balakrishnan. A 'Dato'...hmmmmm

But if it helps my friend to be motivated, it would be a great help for her.

If its not legit and it backfires, it would be a 'from frying pan into the fire' sort of situation.

Please help, ayam confused...

Has anyone tried this medicine before called Cholestifin? Its a natural supplement to reduce bad cholesterol apparently. Contains Linseed, Hawthorn etc.

My Canon MX527 printer's ink tube gets stuck and trapped while the print cartridge housing moves to print. (refer photo)

Is there a way to prevent the tube from falling too low and blocking the print head's path?
