Hongmi Note or Xiaomi M3? (decided to get hongmi)

Hi all,
I've lost patience with forever delaying zenfone 5 in malaysia so decided to switch back to xiaomi (planned to buy xiaomi hongmi in the very first place then got distracted by lower price zenfone).

Now back researching xiaomi, I've listed xiaomi hongmi note and xiaomi 1s as my choices. It seems to me that the major difference is the processor, camera & ram. Is there anything else that I've missed? Will the processor difference produce great difference on the phone? Am I correct that xiaomi note's camera is better than xiaomi 1s due to the MP?

I'm actually finding a dual sim phone with good camera (good as in point and capture coming to sharp photo, fast enough to capture photos of my doggies also when they're moving). And of course, the phone should be responsive enough.

Is there anyone here who's nice enough to advice me on which to take?

I need to reach Agape Counselling Centre through public transport. I'm told that it can be reached via RapidKL U66 or Metro 98. I'm currently staying at Sunway area. Can anyone enlighten me on whr I can catch the bus?

I searched on net and found different routes/ stations U66 stops at, hence I'm confused now.

I've a 2.5" external harddisk that recently when I play it in the computer, the computer never detect it and the external is producing loud processing sound and red light (usually green light when it is working).

I'm planning to buy a 3-in-one printer, now considering HP F4280 and canon MP145. I read through the forum and found that some say F4280 cartridge is more expensive and some say MP145 is more expensive. Can anyone clear me on this? What is the price for the original cartridge and compatible cartridge or other options that I'm still not aware of?

I also found out that there's this thing called CISS. The only thing I know about it is that people install ink outside of the printer. What happen to the cartridge inside then? Is this licensed (legal)? Will it cause harm to the printer?

Those using these two models, can please provide your feedback?

What I found out is that F4280 can bought at RM209 and M145 can be bought at RM229. Is this the market price currently?

Lagging IBM R40

Hi, ppl!

My 4-year-old IBM R40 Thinkpad is running at a very slow speed. I need to wait for around 5 minutes whenever I turn it on or switch it off. Besides, it takes up time to load programs that I click on, including IE. What do you think is the reason?

I'm suspecting it might be due to the small Ram and storage capacity, thinking to upgrade the RAM. I searched online and am confused about few things.

Refering to the description in the link, does that mean that the most I can upgrade to is 2GB? Why can't I make it 4GB by having 2 @GB RAM since there aew 2 slots. What does SODIMM mean? Must use SODIMM if I were to buy new RAM?

Other than the speed problem, I'm having problem with the wireless too. It keeps dc from wireless whereas another laptop beside it is having a smooth connection using the same wireless network. Somemore when I click on the 'available networks', it always shows wireless networks that are not available (detected previously at other locations).

I found out from an IT shop at Sunway Pyramid that I can get this modal at RM2,599. Havent's check out the price at lowyat yet. Anyone knows what the price is at lowyat? And will the price be lower during the coming pc fair?

Laptop recommendation

Hello, I'm a newbie here and am planning to buy a new laptop. The last time when I do research for laptop was 3 years ago whereby I finally got IBM thinkpad. Thus, my knowledge about laptops starts from zero again and am doing research among the so many different brands.

I first search for lenovo as IBM laptops is now under lenovo. Interested at y300 and y400 at first but am not sure is lenovo can be trusted for the quality of the products. Furthermore, some people comment that these 2 modals have the overheating problem, which is the problem I cannot stand.

Searched for Toshiba laptops later on because someone suggested that Toshiba is as famous as IBM in terms of reliability. Ended up, I found out many Toshiba users in lyn complaining about the laptops problems and that the quality of Toshiba laptops is not as good as they used to be.

Any recommendation, people? I need the laptop for usual online stuff like MSN, surfing, and some entertainments like movie watching, games and others. My budget is around 4k.
