My display on my laptop comuter is sideways.

My display on my laptop comuter is sideways.

My desktop display is at an angle on my laptop.

Regardless of how this pic looks, I assure you that when I opened up the laptop, it showed the desktop in profile mode and so the only way I can look at the desktop was to set the laptop on it side like this.

I opened up the display settings but I do not see a setting for this. Please advise.

Make the Left Monitor the main one again

I have a two computer monitor Windows 10 set up.
The main monitor died and I went out and bought a brand new one that I love.

During the process of hooking up the system again, the right monitor got to become the main one with all the proper system defaults on the task bar and the main desktop groupings of icons.

Does anyone have any idea on how to switch it so that the left monitor is the default system one?

Sound Systems issues

I invite you to join me on a journey of discovery and problem solving!

So far, this is the first post I have made on any web forum about this issue but I might cast a large net to see what I find. If I find anything elsewhere, I will share what is found here.

The bottom line is that I don't have any sound on my web browsers. Youtube and other websites are silent.

But the interesting thing is that I have audo capacity on other programs like audacity and skype.

Any ideas?

The problem started the day that one of my computer monitors went out (the display physically stopped working -- that is, it was receiving power and even the cursor behaved as if it was being displayed on the monitor but the display was physically blank). But I was able to go buy a better monitor and install it. During the process of doing this I knocked my graphics card (the only card on my mother board, by the way) out and I had to put it back.

But i got the monitor working. and visually everything is fine

There is not a sound card in the mother board. So that is not the issue.

But there are many cables and wires coming out of the power source that are not connected to anything. The motherboard manufacturer is MSi. Maybe I can contact them.

Anyway, this post is just the start of my journey. I hope I can solve this soon and your input is valuable towards this goal.
How do I reset my Android Samsung phone back to factory settings? I do not know how or why or what one of my multiple messaging apps has the bug but I am not able to receive a text message from Facebook to reacquire my Facebook account.
Network Connection for Home Use

I had one internet service provider. They are local. They compete with the big companies. Anyway, I had the internet moden by my feet in my home office where I could connectdirectly by cable. I have a desktop computer but everyone else connected by wifi.

The connection would drop from time to time. Since I work from home, this was a threat to my job. After it happened a few times, I gave up and droped them as a service provider to my conneciton to the internet and went with a big national company. I am not advertising for them. I will not tell you their name but their initials are AT&T.

Anyway, the internet modem I have now is in the living room. All connecdtions are by wifi. And it seems slow because of this sometimes.

So I am making this post in case anyone else has experienced this and has advice on how to wire a house. I want to make is such that there are no external wires snaking their way across the molding and corners of walls and under door frames. I think this will require me going into the atic at some poing. Any suggestions?

All About CPU Temperature

I would like to start a discussion about CPU temperature. I used the tool, "Speccy" and saw that my CPU was running at over 98 degrees C. I would like to know how this happens, and how to prevent it, and what is too high.
Here is a screen shot showing the name of the CPU and some specs.

Math Challenge -- Flat Earth Debunk

How much would time pass between watching the sun set from ground level and then watching it set again from the top of a sky scraper?

I heard once that this could be done using one of the towers of the World Trade Center. So I assume one could also do this using the Sears / Willis Tower in Chicago. Someone also told me that the world's tallest tower in Dubai is so huge that the local weather broadcast tells of two times for sunset. One time is for the observed sunset at ground level and another time is for the observed sunset from the observation deck near to the top of the tower.

unfortunately, I have recently gotten involved in a debate with someone who believes or claims to believe that the earth is flat and he has challenged me for proofs. I gave him some observations that any one can do, but that did not seem to be good enough for him. He wanted the mathematical predictions of an event and then a demonstration that showed that reality matches the mathematics.

Well, my math skills are a bit rusty on this sort of level since I have been out of college. Although I could probably do this, I figure it would be a greater ease for me to just ask one of the math majors or grad students that frequent online mathematics forums for the equations. So I think what I will do is list my ideas one at a time in this mathematical forum. And now, here is the first one.

The rapper B.O.B. has come out saying that he thinks the earth is flat. Neil Tyson gave him a reply and PBS offered an Op Ed piece explaining some simple tests anyone can do to prove the earth is round. One of them was to lay on the beach on your back and with your head pointed towards the sun set (do this on the pacific coast of course. The moment you see the sun set, immediately stand up and you can see the sun set again -- or so says the op ed piece from PBS. I have herd that something similar can be done with large buildings. If you watch the sun set on the ground level, (let's say from the point of view of a 6ft 4 man. Or some measured eye level from the ground) and then you take an elevator to the top floor, you will be able to see the sun set a second time.

The problem is this, if you know all of the variables, how long would it take to see the sun set a second time.

I hope I have posed this question well enough. Let me know if you have any questions. After this one is answered, I have at least one more question I will start in a second thread.-->
