http://forum.lowyat.net/ Tue, 21 Jul 2026 10:28:11 +0800 FeedCreator 1.7.2 http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/4406860 Good day all.<br /><br />i tried to read through a related post in finance section. i need some additional info. i enrolled in AKPK Debt Management Program (DMP) in 2015. now i have sold a property and expecting balance money to come in this week. first thing going to make full settlement of cc. i have called akpk this morning, the lady said i can just go to the bank n make settlement, then provide akpk with the release letter for reference.<br /><br />1) how to reduce cc debt amount if i wish to make full settlement?<br />can i just walk in to any branch? whom should i consult in the bank? how do i go about asking them to give me reduction/discount?<br /><br />2) i owe 3 banks, maybank, cimb n bsn. i can view the status for maybank n cimb online, but bsn no update since enrolled in dmp.<br /><br />i called this morning n was slapped with even bigger amount. when i joined dmp, my debt was only rm5200. now the customer service guy said that as per today, i owe rm 7855. i got shocked and re-confirmed. what should i do? can this happen?<br /><br />**edited: as per my calculation based on the bill i had in 2015, after few months of joining dmp, bsn still charged interest ab rm45 each month. i made rm100 payment each month via akpk. so, basically, atleast rm50 (rm100- interest rm45) should be reduced from the principal right? i did some rough calculation as estimated only about 3.5k-4k only.<br /><br />pls, i really need some guidance. i have been waiting to settle the debts n live with peace. misha_free The Museum Of Kopitiam Mon, 11 Sep 2017 14:08:30 +0800
