[HELP] Drugged and almost get kidnapped in Hatyai

During the last 5 days long weekend holiday, one of my friend in Kota Bharu has invited me alone from KL to travel to Hat yai to have some fun. The entire trips were suppose to be 4D3N stays and i should have come back by yesterday but instead i came back way earlier on Sunday with a last minute ticket purchase from Hat Yai to KL that cost me RM 800. Why?

My friend visited Thailand frequently as he is staying in Kota Bharu which nearby the border of Thailand. He is fluent with Thai language as well, as he claimed that he has a few relatives from Thailand and recently got a new Thailand girlfriend. I knew this friend for 1 year plus which was actually recommended by another group of friends and we are starting to get close recently which started up this trip.

On the day of arrival, my friend came to welcome me with his Thai girlfriend at the airport with few of his Thailand friends. Once i've landed, they took me for a dinner in a restaurant with live band, it was all normal with good food and chit chat. After we were done with our dinner, they decided to bring me for a 2nd round at a night club in Hatyai called as "Zound". Before we enter our vehicle from the dinner place, we found that all of the windows of the vehicle were left opened without anyone knowing why, then we check the entire vehicle and my luggage is still there without any lost of belongings and we proceeded to the night club. Before entering the night club, my friend's thai gf offered to keep my passport as she said she is worried that my passport would be missing during the fun time in club. But then i insisted to keep it myself because i would always bring a small passport bag which hangs around my neck that was hidden in my shirt and i told her it is safe with me don't worry. While we're inside the club, i was introduced to a few of the new thailand friends and we all had fun together with drinking and dancing. I was a bit tipsy on the first night but it was all fine, his thailand friends fetch me back to our hotel which only my friend and his thailand girlfriend in a room and i checked in another room by myself.

On the 2nd day, his thailand friends came to fetch us again for a lunch on their treat and then drop us at CentralFestival Hatyai (Shopping Mall). We walked around the mall and purchased some food from the grocery then went back to our hotel for a rest. I was invited to their room for a feast and i've taken off my passport bag with my wallet inside it then i left it on their table. My friend said that he would like to put something in my passport bag that need to be carry around which is a 2-Pin USB charger, i din't wonder much about it and after eating i went back to my room for a nap. After that, we went for a dinner at Greenway Night Market and walked around there. During our dinner, i've decided to pay for it but then i realized that i've lost around 1000 baht in my wallet which left me 500 baht in it. I was very suspicious of the missing money as the last person who touched my passport bag with my wallet in it is my friend. So i guess he might be short of money due to the heavy spending on his girlfriend, maybe? But luckily i do have a habit of keeping my money separately while traveling.

After our dinner, his thai girlfriend asked again to go for the night club (Zound) we went yesterday as she said there will be a famous DJ coming over to the club and she would like to join her friends there. But then i don't feel like drinking for another night and i ask my friend if i could go for a thai massage. My friend does not give me any response and i have no choice as a guest over there and agreed to go to the night club again and this is where the nightmare begins.

We went in to the club like normal and the few of their thailand friends yesterday in the club were there also. We were having fun like the last night but this time i realized that they were very aggressive on pushing drinks to me. Beside, my friend's thailand girlfriend was abit different than yesterday as she became more engaging towards me. Another thing is, like the last night i always has a bad habit of drinking glass of other's without remembering which glass is mine but this time they were very certain which is my glass as they keep on pointing to me which is my glass and take my glass to me to prevent me from drinking the wrong glass. After drinking for a short while, i've seen my friend's girlfriend is holding something in her fist near to my glass. I asked her did she put something to my drinks and she denied about it untill i've found some powder at the bottom of my glass. I asked her again what are those and she only admitted that she actually did put something in my drinks which she later claimed to be estacy pill and she wants me to be happy. I was okay with it at first as i thought maybe she wants me to get high and enjoy the occasion, untill then i realized all of their friends were keeping trying to distract my attention and i felt like she kept on drugging me. As i went outside for cigarettes or came back from the toilet, there were always a few new faces at our table which i've never seen before. Things were getting really weird and my palms were getting cold as this is one of the effect of the pill as told by my friend's thai gf. I tried to hold her hands and see if she had the same effect because she said she has taken the pill also but her hands were very warm compare to mine. I asked her why her hands are not cold as she said she had taken the same pill with me and she immediately soaked her hands to the ice bucket and told me "look it is cold". I became very aware and asked my friend to take another cigarette outside which i wanted to tell him i need to go but his girlfriend insisted to join us as well and so I came up with a excuse that i wan to go to the 7-11 because im hungry and ask them to stay and have fun i'll come back later. His girlfriend then started to react overly and talk to a random guy infront of us which i have not seen before that she later told me is her friend. She asked the guy the buy some hotdogs from 7-11 for me and ask me to stay as the famous DJ is coming soon. Not to mention that the random guy infront of us has a very familiar and weird look to me as seems like i've seen him from somewhere else. As we are heading back to our table, i told me friend i need to go to the toilet once more and quickly turn around got out from the club to a "Tuk Tuk" (Taxi) to the nearest police station and stayed for a night there.

While i'm inside the police station, i realized the guy who voluntarily to buy hotdog for me is a guy i've seen from an article long time ago in facebook which related to a kidnap case in Thailand. As i keep on rewinding on my memories, i realized that this is actually a planned trap from my friend to do something bad on me which may related to a big fortune. I realized there were attempts to steal my passport, my money (to reduce my money for letting me go around) and intentionally drugged my drinks.

Today glad that i've safely arrived at home in Malaysia, and i would like to ask has anyone seen the similar article before? or met the same situation as mine? Because my that friend in Kelantan denied everything about it and started to tell his own story to others of our friends and i do not have a solid evidence to pin point him as i couldn't find back the article as i mentioned.
