Need Help

Hi all,

I need help as below.

On this month, I can get a subsidy claim to my company for purchasing new phone, however, due to my company policy, I can only buy iphone but my personal preference is not so expensive android phone. As such, requesting help from mobile phone store to:

1) "Sell" me an iphone and provide me official receipt for me to process the claim to my company. Then treat it as I "sell" back the iphone to the store and hopefully I can get a good "selling" price for that. Of course I can do this physically by buying and selling the iphone, but I just want to save myself from all the troubles.

2) I have plan to buy a not so expensive android phone, so if the mobile phone store also selling android phone I would also like to know the list of android phone on sales and the price.... If can, I would like to do this two things together with one mobile phone store to save myself the times and troubles.

Thanks.

[WTA]Wireless Broadband

Hi all,

Wish to ask if any one staying near my area and using any wireless broadband which is at least 500kbps-1Mbps speed.

Residential Area: Desa Tun Razak (near Taman Connaught, Cheras, KL., near Desa Tasik Selatan STAR LRT station)
House Height: 17th floor.
Budget: Not exceeding RM100/month
Broadband usage habits: Surf Net, playing online game, DOTA, using VPN for work reason, seldom use p2p downloads (able to support bit torrent is better, if not also never mind)

I have tried out with Maxis broadband and IzziNet. Maxis broadband basically very slow with it running in HSPDA mode and full signal strength, I only get 100-300kbps average with the RM 158 WiFi-Modem package. Izzinet can go about 50kbps because the nearest station to my house is down.

I am thinking to try out Celcom broadband now, but not sure yet because I need to buy my own modem and there is no testing period. So anyone can help me on this? I am an IT programmer and Internet access is really important to me for me to access to latest IT technology, sadly due to "bad neightbour" the fix line of the building block has been stolen over and over again and its already 1 1/2 years where no sign of this matter going to be solved.

Any helps are greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Maxis BB - What's the differents?

Hi all,

Wish to seek some explaination on Maxis BB.

I have just subscribed the latest Maxis BB Wi-Fi Modem (E960) package - RM 158/month.

As the speed tested is below my expectation (which is around 1-200 during peak hour, 5-700 max during non-peak hour and I able to achieve HSPDA connection with strong signal), thinking of downgrading it to Power(RM98) package.

What's the differents between all those packages? As I know from inquiry to Maxis Centre, they said Starter (RM68)/Advanced(RM78)/Power(RM98) package are using same modem that will be affected by the height of my location (I am staying at 17th floor), while the USB modem (Rm138/month) and Wi-Fi Modem (E960) won't be affected much. Is that true?

Anyway..... paying Rm 158/month and get speed below 1Mbps is really disappointed.

[addedon]March 13, 2008, 1:13 am[/addedon]No one has any idea?

Is that the Power package HSPDA modem having the same HSPDA signal reception capability as of the E960 Modem, or their are different, where Power package HSPDA modem has lower reception capability affected by height of location while E960 Modem don't?

Anyone can help to answer this?

Thx in advance.
