Which type of RAID suitable?

I plan to use Proxmox VE to configure RAID for my drives.

As a beginner, my initial plan was to configure 4 drives in RAID 5, so I purchased 4 × 8TB drives. Later now, I plan to buy another 4 × 12TB drives, bringing the total to 8 mixed-size drives. Given this setup, what type of RAID would be most suitable for my situation?

I have a faulty 10TB Seagate IronWolf drive. When the storage usage reaches around 7.5TB, the drive becomes slow and hangs when accessing certain folders. I used HDD Sentinel to monitor it, and it reported around 1,000+ bad sectors. I suspect that part of the inner disk surface is damaged.

May I know which shop offers repair services for this kind of HDD issue (internal h/w repair or replacement, not data recovery)? What's the estimated cost?

Hello, recently I just bought 5080 gpu. However, the provided 12vhpwr adapter cable looks ugly & horrible after setup on my desktop PC. I saw taobao selling such direct 16pin to dual 8 pin power cable (up to 600w) and I bought it. May I know what are the differences between these two cable (Direct connect vs expansion cable?) in term of stability, reliability etc...

Hi all, I recently renewed my IC and noticed that there's a transparent sticker on top of my MyKad. This sticker makes the card look blurry and prevents me from successfully verifying my IC when taking a photo on mobile apps, as the app says the text is unclear. I've tried taking the photo more than 10–20 times, but it's still not working.

Can this transparent sticker be removed? (quite hard to remove)

Hi all, is this normal for my aorus x570 pro wifi mbb chipset fan not spinning & the temperature detected as -55c (negative value) under bios environment?
At the beginning, the chipset fans able to spin after power up the pc until the appearance of bios logo, then it stopped.

Is this fan issue or temperature sensor issue? How to resolve this?

remove/replace bulit-in fans from aio cooler?

Hi, may i know is this possible to remove bulit-in fans from cpu aio cooler & replace with other third party custom fans?

I have a arctic liquid freezer ii 240 argb, and wish to replace with bionix p120 argb. Unfortunately, the 240 cooler default come with built-in fans and its fans/argb cable integrated deeply，i cannot remove it without unscrew it。 It start
to worry that liquid will flow out if do so.

I' cant find any guidance from youtube or website. Does it recommended to do so?

Buzzing Noise from ceiling fans

Hi guys , does anyone settled with buzzing Noise from ceiling fans? It is very uncommon for me as 5 of my total 6 KDK ceiling fans facing this problem. Is just ceiling fans issue or my house wiring issue or voltage unstable？
Is this worth to be fixed? or just buy new one instead? If buy a new one, any brand/model recommended?

Woofer on top of PC Case?

Hi, I plan to put woofer on top of my pc case due to lack of space on my desk.
Therefore. I plan to buy iron plate holder (blue color highlighted ) in order to allow space gap for exhaust purpose from cpu cooler.

1. Does it make sense to make it like the following screenshot?
2. Where can I buy such iron plate holder or should I DIY it?

Weird Noise on Desktop PC

Does anyone know what is this weird noise? (not airflow noise, it keeps make noise constantly "ong ong"....)
It happened once i turn on my pc. It sounds non-stop even my pc is idle. It stopped until fully shutdown my pc.

I wish to format every SSDs as its own drive instead of 4 drive into one RAID.

Hi guys,

Does anyone know how to check whether the old batteries can be charged on newer charger?

I have old Panasonic AA rechargeable batteries (EVOLTA HHR-3MVT 1.2v, Regular HHR-3MPT 1.2v. Both are green colored)

There's no way to tell whether it backward compatible with the older batteries (no user manual/guide/ full tech spec provided) although these are same brand but old batteries.

Question on Desktop PC Airflow..

Hi guys, I'm building a desktop pc & having a question on airflow of case fans. Normally a standard desktop pc's internal airflow directions should be from front-to-back/ bottom to top(in & out).

However, I wonder what if both CPU/GPU also come with their own AIO coolers (both coolers' radioator attached on top/front of the case), meaning heat air from both AIO coolers's must be flowed out? Therefore, there's no incoming airflow to the pc from outside.. Does it brake the airflow cycle?

Anyone who expert on this, pls kindly advise on this. TQ~
