Hi wanted to know if invest in online gold trading say USA company. Do I need to pay personal tax from the investment return profit?

How much income from this kind of investment need to start declare and pay any tax if subjected to?

In case when I have accumulated the income in my bank I can peacefully use it to make big purchase like a house or car without worrying the government tax officer will come say hello to me.

i have known someone who quit her day job after found a big pot of money making machine business. I suspect it is an illegal business in nature as i observed she spend her money lavishly without a second thought. A person hard earnt income will not spent like that. She said no need to do anything just put in a few of ten thousands and let the monthly return roll in. sound like previous money game jjptr. not willing to share her source of income and havent done anything to improve her professional working life, one day when the money stop rolling in she is just an old woman with no brain. i heard it can be illegal money lending business charging high interest on borrower like loan shark.

Hi all,

i need advice for next year plan to further study in a Master degree programme.

how to weigh MBA or Master degree in Education have higher chances for passing & career advances?

i know MBA will involve quite a lot of technical knowledge and more difficult.

Master degree in Education will be easier? as all involve theory and teaching? i am keen in this as i think i am strong in writing compared to calculation. Plus, i am interested to be involved in training/teaching in the future.

Anyone have taken either this two programme please share your experience? the difficulty level from scale 1 to 10, the career prospect & its usefulness in finding a better job offer?

whenever i open up jobstreet i always see alot of new posting requesting for Buyer/Purchaser vacancies to be filled either from an MNC company or a SME company.

Why is this position always open and in demand? it looks like this job has a high turnover that company need to always look out for a new person to fill this role. is this job very tough or stressful that anyone doing it resign after a while or because of the pay not equal to the job responsibilities?

how do i top up my game to improve my financial income with a diploma in business studies & a 7 years working experience?

i have done my research and read alot on finance/career/business/investment topic.

this is a point in my life where i feel im not achieving well enough financially & not emotionally satisfy with my current job in a small company as a admin+account support department.

i need a new twist and upgrade myself to better opportunity ahead. im interested to know more from your point of view/personal success strategies.

getting a degree cert is out of my plan as it will incur quite a big sum of money/investment ( RM50k++) & time (6-7yrs partime study). i have no confidence to balance my work & study time & a guaranteed successful completion. i am not lazy or no ambition. i did well in my SPM & diploma passed with distinction. due to no financial support at that time & not good enough for a scholarship i have to start working to support myself and my parent.

i have accept the fact degree is not in my best interest. i am looking to other alternative that i can afford & confident in it. i have taken up a few short courses (Microsoft excel/word training, customer service, investment seminar) in the past to improve my chance of better job offer in big or mnc companies. im trying to be a well rounded person instead of being too job specific that i loss all other skill/development growth.

is there any other things i should do to increase my chances landing a better pay job offer especially in a big mnc company as i discovered its much better welfare/career development/better environment compared to staying in a small family business company.

I wonder how did this normal people can turn into a successful millionaire with a big business empire despite they are all from poor background and not very highly educated. How they do it ? What is the secret or the business strategy? Is their business concept more to MLM since I do know they use alot of agents or stockist.

Boyfriend hardcore gamer: GF feel neglected

My boyfriend of 10 years is a hardcore gamer. I love him very much. He told me many times he feel not good to be addicted to gaming alone and want to quit or play less so can use his time more productive. But end up he is still addicted and play game till morning wee after work. His unhealthy lifestyle caused him admitted to hospital last month due to backbone disk problem. As a girlfriend I feel neglected each time he is too glued to his computer or meet up his gamer friends. We meet once a week on weekends. I appreciate our time together but he is always so bound to gaming....I feel helpless...I want a couple time and do activities together...create memories....Instead of just watching him gaming or anything about gaming....I'm so tired....am I too demanding or I just have to accept his lifestyle.....since I want to stay together with him....any solution for addicted gamer to change their mind or habit....balance out work and gaming and relationships....

Tick borne disease to human; Pet owner especially

I am a dog owner and he roam freely in the house and take stroll around the neighbourhood every day. I checked my dog for ticks and to my horror suddenly infested with a lot of them. Especially concentrate around his head, ears, armpit, buttock, tail and neck. Is just a few day ago I bath him. I suspect it's due to the hot warmer weather recently encourage the growth of ticks in my grassy neighbourhood.

I almost c r u ed and feel bad I dint take good care of him. No wonder he is alway looking tired and low energy. The tick sick all his blood...suck...

I immediately bath him with anti tick shampoo and sprayed tick killer for dog....picked out many fat ticks on him....have to trim his furry hairs if not can't detect the growing ticks...

Okay so I realised I might be infected with tick borne disease which I check online the symptoms I have is similar to Lyme disease but I'm not sure if Lyme disease exist in Malaysia as I only heard it's happened mostly in America....

The emotional and physical symptoms are quite accurate ( mood swing, depression , hand leg pain, fatigue , bell palsy a few month ago, body aches , blur memory , red rashes reoccurring even after apply ointment , itchy Ness on red spot, it's a small dots sometime one spot some time in a big group but not the spot with big ring around it...but I hv been biten by the dog ticks mostly because it just being passed on by my dog when we touched....

So my question is can I go to pharmacist for a prescribed antibiotics? Are they trained in this knowledge ?

Or should I go to clinic visit a general practitioner or a dermatologist skin problems expert?

Which are more reliable to diagnose such tick borne disease?

Any recommendations of doctor to go or clinic/hospital to visit? In perak ; penang; KL ? I don't mind to travel around these places for a good doctor.

Credit card scam by phone call

Hi guys,
Just to warn everyone here I received a out of the blue random call from Aeon Credit card transactions department KL on 22nd September 2017 at 11.30am.

First of all I don't own any credit card. But here is the scam call details as per conversation:
Mandarin speaking local accent;

Caller from so called Aeon credit card transaction department: may I speak to........I am from Aeon credit card transaction department.
Me: I don't understand mandarin well. Can you speak in English instead?
Caller: a young guy voice like a Malaysian....oh okay I call back later.... (??he Had trouble speaking English...sound suspicious already because a highly regarded financial institutions staff can't speak bilingual well esp English...A basic requirements to get into banking or financial services industry.!!...)
Me: it's okay you can continue I will try to get you right....whats the matter? (I speak in simple mandarin with him and I can understand what he said too)
Caller: okay miss I want to ask for your approval on a rm 4k transaction you make. Do you approved it?
Me: puzzled...." what do you mean? I don't understand."
Caller: oh miss based on our record, your name is.......address is....ic number is......right? (Which is all correct!) you have make a purchase at KL PAVILION buying Apple I pad right using your Aeon credit card. So I need to ask for your approval of rm4k purchase to proceed. If you okay I will proceed to approve it. Maybe you can check if you own a aeon credit card?
Me: still puzzled but already know it's a scam. Still I continue to verified with him worries that my personal details hv actually have been compromised....." no I don't own a aeon credit card"
Caller: oh miss but based on our record you have applied this credit card on 10 September 2017 at Johor bahru aeon branch. And you have swipe a purchase of rm 3,945.12 at KL bukit indah on 15 September 2017. Now today you have just swipe a new purchase of rm4k at KLPAVILION mall. So miss I need your approval to proceed.
Me: panic and puzzled...." I dint make any of this as you claimed...I think I have been scammed..I am staying in perak...u need to check how can I apply credit card from aeon without me personally identifiable with my identification card...my pay slip....how can you approve such credit card application then?
Caller: oh yes miss you are right but I àm only the transaction department so you need to report to this issue to bank negara and they will cancel your debt if proved you are victim of credit card fraud. So for now I have freeze your account. You can call this bank negara number.: 03 9212 6302 .. okay please write down your credit card number.............transaction details..........
Me: I think I need to report police instead...
Caller: ah yes you can but you need to call bank negara first to report this issue.
Me:okay.....BT what is your name?
Caller: call me Mr. Lee....chee huat....(sounds reluctant and nervous throughout the conversation but very convincing tho)
Me: okay thanks...
Hang up the phone and start call the number he gave...

I dialled and choose English operator....The waiting line was as real as the government customers service line with negaraku song being played.....no answer....I called again and this time I choose Malaysia operator....waited awhile and a young Malay male voice answered....I straight bombard all my case to him and he just answered me in a cold tone...." okay your name and ic number?....okay I will call u again in 15minutes....He straight hang up the phone.......

FYI: he never call back!

After all this sudden drama....I start to feel beING fooled....I called up one of my friend in the banking line and told him what happened...

He straight tell me it's a scam call...just ignore it.its very happening nowadays and KL have a lot of these kind of illegal scam call operation going on...The banker insider can easily access to clients personal information and sell it to these kind of scam operation. The scammer will pretend to link you to bank negara helpline and the bank negara operator will ask you to settle the outstanding debt of rm3k plus which already incurred on a discount if u pay up now and transfer to their bank account number....

Finally , he advised me to check online the bank negara and Aeon credit card official website for the official contact number....

To my surprise.....The bank negara contact number given by the caller was different and so it was a fake number...its their scam own phone line...

Second...I called the Aeon customer service number and told the operator my story....I gave her the credit card number the caller gave me earlier....to my relief....The operator said this card number is not valid....its not in the system...so it was a scam call...

Feeling better I have confirmed it's just a make up story from a scam caller picking up random victim like me....

I feel so stupid to have entertained this call and make myself panicked for no reason when I should just hang up the phone instead! But luckily I have learnt a lesson and have not loss any money but time to this scam call...

South Korea: anyone went there before

Hi im just curious if anyone went to/heard of experience in Korea before for either work in the farm esp harvesting onion or cabbage? If so which part of the country and how was the experience? Usually is like in Cameron Highland where we see many foreigners working as farmer (bangla/nepali)

I came to read about a lot of Asian (indo,Philippines,China, Malaysia) went there to work in farm....normally they go as tourist and went there work for a few months to earn a short term cash and go back their country to avoid overstaying....I know it's illegal but many are doing it for the sake of the promised 'high income'. I felt sorry for them if they get caught, deported or even worse facing jail trial....All these people are either low educated (illiterate), poor or old people trying to earn retirement income/survival.....
