still worth to buy a ROG XGMobile 3080 ?, dillema

I have recently set up my ROG Ally to a TV for gaming (playing titles like Black Myth: Wukong, Where Winds Meet, and Silksong).

I have noticed that when playing on the TV, the low graphic settings and low FPS are significantly amplified, which compromises the experience a little bit. On the smaller handheld screen, these settings are still somewhat acceptable, but they don't hold up on a larger display.

After doing some research, I realized that the ROG Ally (Z1 Extreme) is not compatible with ordinary eGPU docks; it requires the dedicated ROG XG Mobile dock. To be honest, the price seems a little unreasonable—I feel like I would be better off just buying a gaming laptop. Are there any contrary opinions or arguments that could justify making such an investment?

I find Ryzen 5 1400 really rare and there are so few people that own it. Is there a reason behind it?
I was thinking of buying it to avoid too much bottleneck with my gtx 1070 as my current i5 2500k just bottlenecks it too much. But for some reason it is impossible to find a 2nd hand one. Would like some answers about this rare processor.

Pls dont ask why I use old hardwares, it's obvious. I'm dirt poor but gaming must continue.

Looking to sell my 2020 Dell G7 17 7790. I use it pretty much daily but take care very well. The only visible wear is the Dell, GeForce and Intel stickers cause of arm placement I guess. Even the keycaps aren't faded cause I use silicone cover. Overall condition is 9/10. Anyone can recommend me a good price to sell it at? I don't see much of these on the market. Warranty ends on Feb 2022. Selling cause wanna upgrade to PC, don't need portability anymore. Sorry in advance if this is the wrong place to post this.
