Which MacBook to get ?,

Hello, I plan to get my first and last MacBook, plan to use it long term, long term as in 10-20 years down the road.

I mainly going to use it for admin work / YouTube / Netflix / photoshop lightroom etc, and plenty of browser multitasking on and off, I also prefer bigger screen than small screen.

I need something that is fast, and 10 years down the road it'll still be fast, as laptops is unlike desktop we can't upgrade / change the hardware inside. So would appreciate some recommendations on which model to get ? Budget shouldn't be too big of an issue because there's installments options.

Need Advice: Installing a Second SSD in iMac 27",

Need Advice: Installing a Second SSD in iMac 27" (Late 2012)

Hi Lowyat friends,

About a year ago, I posted a thread asking for help on replacing my old, damaged SATA HDD with an SSD. Thanks to your advice, the upgrade was a success—so thank you!

Now, I’m planning to install a second SSD in my iMac 27" (Late 2012) and would love your guidance again. What’s the best way to go about this? Are there any specific adapters, cables, or precautions I should be aware of?

Looking forward to your expert advice!

Thanks in advance!
A Review of Wispr Flow Transcription App For Mac,

Hey guys! Just started using Wispr Flow, and it's a total game-changer for anyone who spends a lot of time typing. I've tried other tools like ChatGPT for transcription along the way, but Wispr Flow stands out for a few reasons:

1. Super Easy to Use: No complicated setup or training required. Just install it, and you're ready to go. It works with any text field – Push a button and just start speaking, and it transcribes instantly. No switching from app window to app window.
Lightning-Fast Installation: The setup process was a breeze. I was up and running in minutes without any hassle.
2. Boosted Efficiency: Not every AI app delivers on the promise of a faster workflow and there is really quite a lot of hype out there , but this really has changed the way that I do things. It's helped me cut down typing time drastically (Which makes sense because speaking takes place at about 100+ WPM on average, while typing is anywhere from 45-60 WPM), and I've even gotten better at using shortcuts since I can focus more on my workflow.
3. Time Saver: The ease of starting voice typing in any text field means I can get my thoughts down right away without the usual back-and-forth. It is super fast and while it's true that it doesn't really destroy the keyboard all the way (because you do need to make use of shortcuts) and there can be some situations where you do want to click on things, I really do think that this is a huge game changer in a lot of different ways. It's also worthwhile to note that things like command mode make it so that effectively you'll get ChatGPT in pretty much any text field you want along the way. There are some quality of life features like Wispr mode that help make it so that you can pretty much whisper even in a loud environment or in an environment where you can make a ton of noise, and the app is going to go ahead and transcribe pretty well (though there are a couple of sacrifices of accuracy along the way).
4. Mac exclusive: This makes a ton of sense because this is after all a forum dedicated towards Mac apps.

I've also written a more detailed comparison with other tools in this article, and also made this video about it.

I should disclose that I'm affiliated with the company (which means I may earn a small commission if you choose to make a purchase through the links provided at no additional cost to you, though I'm not part of the development team of the app) after having used the software and discovering that it's actually pretty good; this is just a small bet, but having provided a bit of content here, I hope that you guys don't mind if I post my link here so that you can go ahead and get Wispr Flow. It will also give you a free month of Flow along the way!

Happy to repost this later without the link if that really isn't allowed.

If you find that this content is valuable, please consider using the link in the article or the video and these will help to support my own journey going forward.
Happy to answer any questions about using this app from a user's perspective - Enjoy if you choose to try it out!
