May I ask if anyone knows if people from two different states (KL and Johor) could make Marriage Registration at JPN WP Jalan Duta?

I have been searching around Websites and JPN Sites but no confirmed answers. I have even called up JPN and they recommended that our address on identity card should be changed before registering at the JPN.

Putrajaya ROM appointment?,

Hi all! We went to JPN Kajang did all the form submission, we chose to have the "swearing ceremony/ROM" in Putraya, we informed the officer, then waited 21+1 days. Went back to JPN Kajang, made payment (RM10) for the approval letter plus collected all the forms back again. According to the officer, we are to go to Putrajaya along with all these documents to make an appointment for the "swearing ceremony/ROM", anytime but no more than 6 months. I'm a bit confused here, if we go to Putrajaya now, is to straight away doing the ROM or just making a booking for the ROM date? Thanks! Appreciate your advice.

Non-Muslim Marriage Registration Procedure 2023,

Hey guys! I just want to share my experience of marriage registration at JPN Putrajaya, I know there's already a ton of info out there but they lack some tiny but super important details.
Here's the full guide, hopefully this would help some of you!

Step 1: Going to JPN Putrajaya

- We parked at the "Public Parking" just right opposite the building and walk over. It's only a really short walk.
- The parking is not free tho, it's a gated parking - they accept Visa and TNG.
- Here's what the entrance look like:

- Once reached go to the 2nd floor, you'll see the Marriage Department

Step 2: Getting JPN.KC01F Form
- Once you're at 2nd floor - Marriage Department, look at the info counter on the left (see photo, I didn't frame that in the photo I took):

- Go there and ask the Kakak for the marriage form, she'll give you the form and tell you which part to fill in
- If both you and your fiancée/fiancé are from the same state, you can do the Registration of Marriage in JPN. If not, to save yourself trouble you can do it outside
- For my case we chose to do it at Thean Hou Temple, there's a field in the form you have to fill in - I just wrote "Thean Hou Temple"
- Make sure you're writing everything in CAPS, if you make a mistake - don't worry you don't have to fill in a new one. You can cross it out but you can only cross out ONCE.
- Make sure you bring Passport photo of yourself and your fiancée/fiancé, bring glue OR use this trick my fiancée learned from XiaoHongShu - put a double sided tape on your photos before you come.
- Once you have filled up everything, it's time for the next step.

Step 3: Declaration at the Commissioner of Oath
- Go down to the first floor and find the Commissioner of Oath department, it's next to a Maybank ATM. It's a little hidden:

- Go inside and take a number, wait for your turn then go in
- REMEMBER to bring EXACT RM10 CASH, they DO NOT change for you / accept more than RM10 (fiancée had 5xRM1 and I had a RM5 note, it was a close one omg)
- Prepare your IC because the commissioner will check your ICs
- Commissioner will stamp your form and sign, then you and your partner would have to sign some papers as well
- Once done, time to final step in JPN

Step 4: JPN Verification
- Go back to 2nd floor, same place and get a number
- Hand in the stamped form to staff, they'll ask you to pay RM20 but this time they DO NOT ACCEPT CASH - strictly cashless. (I know, it's so weird)
- You have to hand them both you and your partner's IC and photocopy of IC as well
- They'll ask you to sit and wait while they're verifying your forms / details / ICs
- Once done, they'll call your name. Go and collect it. You're now done with all JPN steps.
- Side note: we arrived there at 8am on a Friday, got everything done at 9.30am. I think the Marriage Department is generally not crowded.

Step 5: ROM Booking
- We went straight to Thean Hou Temple after to get a Registration of Marriage booking
- It was super easy, go directly to their office - get a waiting number. In our case that day we were the first one, didn't even need to wait.
- We prepared a few preferred dates prior, told the staff and she checked the availability for us.
- In our case we chose a Friday and had to pay a fee of RM200.
- Here you have to appoint 1 witness for you and 1 witness for your partner to sign on that day
- We handed in: 1 photocopy of IC (both), 1 photocopy of Birth Certificate (both), 1 photocopy of IC of witnesses (you and your partner's witnesses)
- Once everything's paid and verified, the staff kindly explained some rules to us. Basically you, your partner and your witnesses MUST wear formal on that day. Rules do not apply to your friends/family.
- The staff did mention each side can bring a max of 10 person there tho.

So to summarize, here's what you need to prepare:

JPN:
- 1 Passport photo of you and your partner
- Glue for sticking photo / double side tape your photo
- 1 Photocopy of IC of you and your partner
- 1 Exact RM10 cash note
- Cashless payment option to pay RM20

Thean Hou Temple:
- 1 Photocopy of IC of you and your partner
- 1 Photocopy of IC of you and your partner's witness
- 1 Photocopy of Birth Certificate of you and your partner

And that's really it! It's a lot of steps and stuff to prepare, I know it looks overwhelming but it's really pretty easy. If you're preparing right now, I wish you good luck!
