Key Fob Replacement For Persona (2022), Anyone got experience?

As per title, anyone got experince for repair or replacing the key fob of a persona (2022)?

How much did it cost?

Where did you do it? Dealer is an option, but from experience they would usually charge more. So any other reliable/safe alternatives?

Mine kept on saying low battery but was somewhat working, but after change battery can unlock door, but cannot start engine.

I'm planning to change my car from a 2013 Hyundai Elantra 1.6L to a new SUV, and I've shortlisted these three models:

-JAECOO J5 2WD – around RM108k
-Jetour Dashing Prime – around RM116.8k
-Chery 05 – around RM106.8k

My budget is around RM100k–RM120k, with a down payment of approximately RM12k. I'm looking for a petrol SUV for long-term ownership.

My priorities are:

So I have a 2011 Myvi 1.3 standard and I am looking to give it a fresh look. Challenge is with $$$, not planning to splurge for a massive change since its already very old and cheap in the second hand market. Currently looking to just replace the front and back bumpers, which based on those aftermarket ones on Shopee, should set me aside RM400+. May consider replacing the sound system with something like the Bosoko's full set, which is going to cost me another RM500.

Question - Does anyone know any mechanics that offer just installation service at an affordable rate? Don't mind freelancers too. Thanks!

Time to change my 12yr old Nissan Almera... lately has been giving alot of issues - noises, etc and also when accident that time repair takes longer cause limited parts available liao.... have to wait longer from workshop...

Anyway i was condering Toyota Vios Hybrid.. seems like the discount is very high - probably year end sales... dont wanna lose this opportunity with high discount offer plus gifts lagi.. the salesman/lady mention next year might increase price true or not not sure

Hi all, the next generation of facelift for the S70 turbo version is coming soon, most likely will land end of this year according to media.

The leaked pictures shows a complete makeover of the exterior and interior but engine remains the same, I'm in no rush in getting the car, but I'm a bit of FOMO on the rebates, currently for this month or even next month maybe, the total rebates for the S70 flagship stands at 12K. So should I wait for it a little longer or go for this 2026 S70?

I've been looking at buying a 7 seater for a while. My initial plan was to keep my current car and buy a Proton X90 as the 7 seater. Some people on here pointed out that the back seats aren't that easily accessible. The interior is fine but it's not exactly nice.

Eventually, I've come around to the idea of getting an MPV. I'll sell my current car and use the 7 seater as a personal car and also as a transporter for work when necessary.

I looked at the Denza D9. They have a good promotion at the moment and the car is packed with features but it feels cheap in a Chinese way and the suspension isn't well sorted. The Zeekr 009 is very nice but it's expensive and I think the resale value will be zero by the time I'm done with it. I'm thinking that an AGH40 Alphard is the best option now.

I haven't bought a recon car before. Is there anything I should be aware of buying this kind of car?

I drive a Proton Persona, and my warranty is just about up, so I'm looking to finally go and service at a 3rd party workshop.

Anyone have any recommendations for workshops in the Sri Hartamas/Segambut/Kepong or maybe PJ area? I understand it'll probably be pricier than if I serviced in Klang or something but I'd rather just service somewhere nearer to where I live.

Hi. Recently my myvi lagi best has a loud thudding noise when i on my aircon.

After checking out it seems like its from the start stop of the compressor, coming from the magnet clutch.

Aircon is still blowing cold like normal.

1 bawah pokok mech said its sound fine.
Another shop mechanic said its normal for myvi but this particular sound is way too loud.

Is the magnet clutch dying and soon the compressor as well ? Loud thud around 6 seconds in the video

3rd Party Insurance For Cars With Value >RM50k,

I was just wondering if there are people here who opt for 3rd party instead of comprehensive insurance for vehicles with market value higher than say RM50k and remain relatively safe.

There may be few reasons for doing so, and in my case there may be a new car purchase in the near future and I intend to keep the current car but want to transfer the NCD to the new car. I've got to know that the NCD cannot be shared under a single owner / insurance policy so 2 vehicles mean 2 insurance policies with 2 NCDs, unless there is another way to do it.

Throughout my 20+ driving years experience the NCD has been always intact and accident claims were always through the other party's insurance and not my own insurance since it's the other party's fault. It's not many though, only 2 accidents where the other motorist knocked the rear bumper of my vehicle. The latest insurance claim about 4 years ago which caused the NCD of my old vehicle to be gone is just low amount of RM5k+ as I was expecting the cost of repair to be more than RM10k. It's a mistake on my part to make a claim via insurance which caused the NCD to get back to 0% as I would have used my own money for the repair if I knew actual cost of the repair. With a 0% NCD and slow climb every year to reach 55%, the cost of a comprehensive insurance especially with a new vehicle costing >RM100k is rather high. Hence the thought of transferring the NCD to the newer vehicle.

I suspected leaking in my car vios aircond but with very small leak. I've added aircond oil compressor with UV dye yet can't find the leak. Foreman suggest to dismantle dashboard to check cooling oil. I was thinking of using stop leak aircond oil compressor, will it works?
