PERTUBUHAN KEBAJIKAN WARGA EMAS KASIH ( LOVE GARDEN WELFARE OLD FOLKS HOME) is an old folks home based AT Klang. We are currently doing charity drive. We are providing shelter and assistants to underprivilege old folks and disable people. This place had been started and providing shelter to some underprivileged residents who had been staying here and providing supports for some poor family around us.
We are trying to give the best so that we could give a good care, because we feel that they deserve attention and loving care. So we humbly require your help and assistants to run this place.

At the moment, we require funds to pay the operation cost that had been increasing as more residents had moved in. Our places also need some supplies such as wheel chairs, bathroom assisting chair, milk powders, oats, detergents, towels, bed sheets. hospital beds, pillow, mattress and any supplies that can be used.

Hello everyone!

We are students from University College Sabah Foundation (UCSF). As a community service project, we would like to raise awareness about Alternative Learning Centre (ALC) that is located at Kampung Saga, Likas. This project is also to help them provide the needs that is required to enhance a better learning environment.

ALC is a learning school for those who cannot afford to take their children to school to get an early education, especially the immigrants' children who are living in Sabah.

We would be grateful if anyone could make any donation for us to raise funds to buy the required items such as roof zinc. Technology plays a crucial role in many aspects of our society, but the convenience comes at a cost that the less fortunate might not be able to afford.
Devices that we are not able to fix will be sent out to be recycled/upcycled as much as possible. We do this in partnership with other programmes and organisations that align with our mission and vision.

The centre, which previously had a regular flow of visitors and contributors, is now struggling to obtain donations due to the public’s own financial troubles through the pandemic.

“The number of people affected by the pandemic started to increase and the government issued a Movement Control Order (MCO) to control the spread of the virus. Such a move affected the centre completely. The centre, which had been slowly improving, was knocked to the bottom overnight,” they shared with WORLD OF BUZZ.

And sadly, the centre is now running on the last remains of their reserve funding.

“The Director of the centre has been trying to give the children a place to call ‘home’. The Director also used his own business funds to pay for the centre’s expenses, but his business has slowly declined due to the pandemic,”

“As a last resort, the director also drew on the centre’s reserves to pay for the centre’s expenses. As a result, the centre has financial problems, but there is no other choice,” they added.

It’s truly saddening when the elderly are left by their families in old folks homes, though it is understandable that some of these families may not have the funds or capabilities to care for their elderly family members the way that they need it. Thankfully, old folks homes have been doing their best to look after the elderly folks who have been entrusted under their care. However, they too, need all the help they can get.

And they’ve been doing this out of kindness, as they do not charge fees to take in elderly folks in need.

This welfare centre located in Taman Seri Serdang presently houses 13 elderly folks from different backgrounds. They offer care to the elderly while providing them with a safe environment to call ‘home’.

The Xiao Xin Serdang Old Folks Home also hopes that more people of the general public will visit and spend some time with the elderly aunties and uncles that call the centre home so that their hearts can feel full knowing that there are people out there who care.

They shared a breakdown of their monthly expenses to help the general public further understand their circumstances.

Anybody knows of very poor families who have kids 3 years old and below?

A friend of mine has quite a number of milk bottles (abt 25 bottles) and several drinking bottles (those cups but with teats) used by her kids and they do not need it anymore. I suggested that she gives it away for donation, to those in need.
The bottles do not come with teats tho, so for cleanliness sake, the families should buy new ones.

*Those who can afford, pls don't take advantage yeah. Lets help those who really need them!

The Current Case for the urgent fundraising as follows:-

An elderly parturient woman seeing her son who needs to take medication daily and bloodiest feel very helpless. She hopes that her son can grow up healthily like a normal child.

Liew Wei Jia, 15 months old, who is from Sungai Petani, Kedah was a normal baby when was born. Few days after birth, doctor realised that he is facing breathing problem and was transferred to Penang’s General Hospital for check-up. He was diagnosed with congenital heart disease and requires medication.

He is supposed to undergo surgery when he is few months old but due to many reasons, his surgery was delayed. The hospital had scheduled his surgery in July but due to Covid-19 outbreak, his surgery was again delayed till December.

Lately, he was diagnosed with AVSD, ASD and PDA. Only surgery can improve his condition and the surgery cost is RM80,000.

His mother, Lau Chai Choo, 41, knows that she is an elderly parturient woman. She took care of herself well during pregnancy but unfortunately, her son is born with congenital heart disease.

His father, Liew Soon Heng, 37, is a Dim Sum hawker. The couple work together and Lau Chai Choo always make dumplings, new year cookies etc during festive season to increase their income. The couple has 2 daughters who has 14 and 16 years old. Their monthly income is just enough to cover the expenses of the family.

Hi, everyone I'm Searah from Sagan Old Folks Home.

Nice to know your efforts for the nobel purpose.
We have an old folks home in Klang. We have few children and elderly people residing here with our assistant. Due to corona19 period its been difficult to us to manage this place with less support.
We have elderly who needs medical support and daily necessities, we hope you could also spare some of your valuable assistant on us.

About us
Been established since 2018, we have 21 residents so far, Most of them need special cares. We provide a homely run environment to our residents, we have both paid resident and homeless residents.Our place are managed by well trained staffs and managers. Family activities are held everyday, like gardening, cards game, TV, story telling and etc. Our foods are selected fine home cooked tradional styles. We make their stay a homely and comfortable as possible. We monitor their medicine and fluid intake everyday. We do routine basic medical checks. We allow our residents relax and chill according to their own time. To us we want the to feel homely comfortable.
