Hi all,

As per the title, can someone recommend to me good automatic litter box models that can be bought either physically or online via Shopee/Lazada?

My criteria are as follows:

cleans by sideways rather than vertical rotation - I heard about cats being killed by malfunctioning boxes crushing their necks and bodies.
my cats don't like to bury their poop, if this makes a difference.
have a Malaysian service center for repairs - it will be expensive, so if there's an issue I want to be able to repair it
no leaks - obviously, I don't want it to leak when used
not too loud when operating - I don't want to scare my cats
doesn't use proprietary litter and/or plastic bags

Please feel free to also share your experiences on using automatic litter boxes; I'm always eager to learn more. Thank you!

Next week I will adopt a male cat from a friend. About 2 years old.

But my gf scare it will be bored to be alone. So she thought of adopt another as his friend.

But I am concerning if they don't get well. Any suggestion or opinion on this matter?

Okay, i've planned to get a hermann tortoise because i live in an apartment and it wont grow as big as sulcata. So easy to care for.

I've done alot of research on google and took my time to get the finger tips first before getting one. Learning from owners would certainly add up some insight and tips.

Would you guys mind to providing feedback below?

1. I've decided to use pine wood for its enclosure. Would that be enough, or do i need to mix other substrate?

2. Can i use fake plants, because im not really good at caring for plants and worried it would die anyway. Some people mentioned that theirs tried to eat the fake plant, but they know if its edible or not and would leave them.

3. UVB and heat lamp is good enough?

4. Mine is going to be a hatchling, would 80cm length x 40 cm wide and 10 cm height enclosure suffice for now?

5. If i want to add live plants incase, which plant would be suitable if im using pine wood. Otherwise kindly suggest which substrate is more suitable than pine wood.

How to become professional dog trainer, In malaysia

The only dog training school which provide formal training for one to become professional trainers in Malaysia is Dave Teoh Academy….from what I can found on internet.

Is there any other venues in Malaysia which offer similar service? For own comparison since Dave Teoh academy price are not cheap. He is not doubt famous in this industry but not necessary the best for me.

P/S: pls stop recommending self learning approach via YouTube/ online training…..try their approaches on my own dog unfortunately most were not effective.

Long story short , we paid deposit for a week old puppy last month (looks healthy and cute at this point) . All of sudden pet shop owner send us a photo signalling that we could collect the dog after a week.

To our surprise , we notice that the dog has very obvious tear stain as show in the photo below . We try Google and found that it could be some kind of disease that may need long treatment .

Should we try ask for a refund ? They most probably will refuse and I need your opinions here.

Looking for surrogate mother for 1 week old kitten,

Need some help to try and find a surrogate cat mom for an abandoned kitten, might be 1 week old only, eyes not open yet.

Found her at a rooftop car park. Waited to see if a mother cat would come for her but there was none after an hour so I took brought her back to give her a chance.

I'm not capable of providing round the clock care for a young kitten nor have any idea what I'm doing.

Anybody with large dog and cat in the same house?, Is it risky?

I have a large Shepard mix, sometimes bark at cat but have never chased them.

I recently encountered a stray cat near my flat, sometimes I feed it, but afraid to adopt because not sure how my dog will react to it.

The cat will sometimes follow me, even got into the lift sometimes, but I pushed it out.

Weeks later, it's still around, feels bad to see it living in the open, want to call SPCA but not sure how they will treat it.

My question is, if I adopt it (legally), should I be worried about my dog hurting the cat? What can I do to make my dog get used to the cat?

hi all vet expert,

I have my cat which was missing for few days and then now i found him back but with his back leg limping.
we have done an x-ray and attached.

i have ask the doctor and the doctor told me that she needs to perform surgery whereby she will destroy that bone socket which got dislocated and let the muscle/ligaments to get hold of the rest of the bone.
furthermore, after the surgery, the cat needs to perform physio for couple of months to let the cat walk back as normal. even so, there is no guarantee that the cat can walk back as normal.

So.. what that doctor says is it true? Are there any other better solutions? I just want the best and less painful solution for my cat. Thanks.

3 years ago before MCO, I met these 2 dogs in Pasar's longkang as they lived inside. Hence I rescued them in hope that to find adopters but they were not in good look and no one was willing to adopt.

I keep them until now and they are very handsome and happy!
