That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed.” These are doctrines that shall not be trampled upon by anyone, or anything.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&amp;quot;The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government is now under the influence of The Chinese Communist Party. The Hong Kong SAR Government has continually failed to listen to its people’s demands and has stripped its people of their rights. The Chief Executive, Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor, enacted the “Anti-mask law” by use of the Emergency Regulations Ordinance, in order to bypass all regular legislative procedures. There is no doubt that there is no longer any Separation of Powers nor rule of law in Hong Kong.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We the Hong Kongers no longer have any faith in the SAR Government, and we do not recognise it as the governing body of Hong Kong. The Hong Kong Provisional Government shall be in term for five years or when a President and officials are nominated and elected by the public. The Hong Kong Provisional Government must start organising an election of the basis of universal suffrage within one year of its establishment, and the election shall be completed within three years.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;5. Officials of The Hong Kong Provisional Government shall not be allowed to take up any other governing roles in the Hong Kong Government once their term ends.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;6. All current Hong Kong laws shall be effective until a new set of laws are introduced by The Hong Kong Provisional Government.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;7. The Hong Kong SAR Legislative Council shall be dismissed immediately. An election shall be held in March to elect the Hong Kong Provisional Legislative Council. The Hong Kong Legislative Council shall be elected within a year.             <description>&lt;span style='font-size:16pt;line-height:100%'&gt;&lt;b&gt;Missing radioactive device sparks panic&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;img src='https://www.todayonline.com/sites/default/files/styles/new_app_article_detail/public/photos/43_images/20180820_malaysian_police_reuters.jpg' border='0' alt='user posted image' /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;KUALA LUMPUR — The Malaysian authorities are frantically looking for a 23kg Radioactive Dispersal Device (RDD) that has been missing since Aug 10.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;b&gt;The device, an Industrial Radiography Equipment, contains the radioactive isotope Iridium- 192, which emits beta and gamma radiation as it decays during its estimated half-life of 73 days.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Police and the Atomic Energy Licensing Board (AELB) share the same concerns of it falling into the hands of terrorists or militants, or those who treat it as metal to be dismantled and sold for a quick buck.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;It is learnt that RDD has a market value of RM75,000 (S&amp;#036;25,000).&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;According to published reports, Iridium-192 is one of the most- stolen commercial radioactive isotopes that can be &lt;b&gt;used in a dirty bomb — a non-nuclear device using conventional explosives to spread radioactive material over a wide area.&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The compound is safe as long as it is inside its lead-shielded casing.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The New Straits Times, which was alerted to the search for the radioactive device, has learnt that it belongs to a company offering test, calibration and inspection services to the oil and gas industry, as well as power plants, manufacturing, automative and transportation sectors, among others.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;img src='https://www.todayonline.com/sites/default/files/20180820_nst_graphic.jpg' border='0' alt='user posted image' /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;According to sources, two technicians of the company, who are in their mid-30s, had loaded the device into the back of the company’s pick-up truck for a task in Seremban.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;They completed the task and left Seremban for their office in Shah Alam at 2am.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;When they arrived an hour later, they discovered the device missing from their Nissan Navara.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The duo told investigators that the tailgate of their vehicle was already lowered when they reached their office.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;b&gt;They had said the device could have fallen out during their drive back to their office.&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The two retraced their journey in an attempt to recover the device.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;img src='http://www.teapartytribune.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/29.jpg' border='0' alt='user posted image' /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;They told investigators that they did not stop during the journey to their office.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;One of them alerted AELB and the highway operator, Plus Malaysia Bhd, which helped scour the stretch between the Sena- wang and Seafield toll plazas.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The NST learnt that the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) did not find any sign that the tailgate had been pried open.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Investigators found that the tailgate’s locking mechanism was in good condition, saying that it was not possible for it to “unlock” by itself.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The Shah Alam district police headquarters’ CID did not believe the duo’s story and had them remanded.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;However, they were released on Friday after no criminal elements were traced to them, including their possible involvment in terrorism or militancy.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This conclusion was based on interviews investigators conducted with them, as well as forensic investigations on their handphones.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The NST learnt that the major concern of AELB was that the missing device contained radioactive material that could compromise security and safety.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;It fears that the person who finds the device and has no knowledge of its content, may dismantle it to be sold as scrap metal, thus causing mass exposure to radioactive materials.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;A source in AELB told the NST that there were no leads on the missing item up to Sunday.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;“We appeal to those in possession of it to contact the police or AELB. The article states that this was the report of a forum entitled “The Origin of the Malay” organised by the Muslim Youth Movement of Malaysia (Abim) and contains statements made by Zaharah Sulaiman.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We find this article to be &lt;b&gt;highly misleading and erroneous. The contents are absurd, fictitious, and any content claimed to our research is complete misrepresentation.&lt;/b&gt; We are &lt;b&gt;appalled that she has misquoted our academic work in human population genetics, archaeology and history that we and our colleagues in Human Genome Organization (HUGO) and other reputable institutions have done for many years to date.&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;As academicians who have been funded largely through grants from the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, Ministry of Higher Education of Malaysia, the UK government and our respective institutions, we are duty bound to address the dubious statements that do not stand to factual or scientific scrutiny, and only serve to misinform and confuse the public.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;1. We must unequivocally state that there are&lt;b&gt; no such things as Malay genes, Chinese genes, Indian genes, etc. All of humanity are Homo sapiens with Homo sapiens genes.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;2.  Zaharah is reported to have said that “roughly 60,000 to 75,000 years ago, there was a migration by some of the shortest people from humanity’s cradle in Africa to Sundaland, which is now known as Southeast Asia”.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style='color:green'&gt;This seems inconceivable and illogical. &lt;b&gt;How could these “first migrants” have been the “shortest people” and how could they have skipped the landmasses between Africa and Southeast Asia such as the Arabian Peninsula, Middle East, Levant and Indian subcontinent to get to Southeast Asia?&lt;/b&gt; There are clear archaeological evidences of the existence of Anatomically Modern Humans (AMH) from the following sites that have been carbon dated. For example, Jebel Qattar (75 thousand years ago (kya), Mundafan (100-80 kya), Aybut Al Awual (105 kya) and Jebel Faya C (125 kya); in Levant Qafzeh (120-90 kya); and 16R Dune (96-80 kya), Jwalapuram (85-75 kya).&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;3. She is reported to have said that “The study conducted by the Human Genome Organisation (Hugo) that was published in 2013 showed that the ancestors of the Malay people, the Semang and Senoi, migrated to the ancient kingdom of Champa that is now located in parts of Vietnam and Cambodia.”&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style='color:green'&gt;We are members of the &lt;b&gt;Human Genome Organization and can verify that there was no such publication in 2013.&lt;/b&gt;  What we did publish were papers in 2011 and 2014 that elucidated genetic variants among various Malay sub-populations. We found no evidence whatsoever that&lt;b&gt; Senoi and Semang were directly related to Malays. The Champa were never mentioned. The Malaysian Negrito (also known as Semang) and Senoi groups are Austro-Asiatic speakers, while Malays are Austronesian speakers&lt;/b&gt;. Both groups are genetically distinct from each other.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;4. She has been reported to have claimed “From Semang and Senoi came the rest of the ethnic tribes including the indigenous peoples such as the orang Asli, Iban, Dayaks and so on. In fact, the Malays’ closest ancestor is the Jakun tribe”.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style='color:green'&gt;This &lt;b&gt;statement is fundamentally flawed and misleading. There are 3 main groups of Orang Asli in peninsular Malaysia ― Negrito, Senoi and Proto-Malay (of which Jakun is a sub group). Jakun and Malays are genetically related. However, there is no strong evidence to prove that Jakun are ancestral to Malays. Neither is there any evidence to prove that Semang (Negrito) and Senoi are the ancestors of the Iban or Dayak in Borneo.&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;5. She was also reported to have said that “based on scientific evidence, the Malay set of mtDNA is 63,000 years old when compared to the Chinese mtDNA that is 43,000 years old. The youngest set of mtDNA in the world belongs to the South American civilisation at 10,000 years old.”&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The mtDNA is inherited from mothers and is used to roughly estimate departure from our female ancestors. It contributes only 0.00005% of total human DNA/genes and is less stable than nuclear DNA (99.99995 per cent) in cells. Population genetics does not rely solely on mtDNA to draw conclusions about human ancestry, evolution or migration. To do so now would be inaccurate and unreliable. We always consider maternal, paternal genetics and the bigger picture.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We trust that we have provided a comprehensive explanation of the scientific facts that inform our knowledge of population genetics and various ethnic groups in Malaysia and elsewhere.
