Switching back to the vendor from end-user?

Hi fellow forumers,

I worked in software vendor field before joining an end-user company. After spending few years in end-user field, I sense that my skill is not really growing on par with the market trend due to the project implementation/tough job are handled by the vendor. The worst part is, my current company have migrated their system to a newer version and I can only do on job training by working on some post go-live bugs & cases. The learning progress is slow and I don't feel safe being at the current state.

I tried applying some vendor company and got some offers. The problem is their package are not really good like only offering contract role with lower salary due to I am from end-user based.

So here are the choices,
1) stay in end-user, enjoy the work-life balance/better salary but slow in the learning phase.
2) join the vendor, heavy workload/lesser pay but get the chance to join new project implementations. When I learned enough probably able to jump back to end-user with better position/salary in the future.

Which will you choose?

Had a Skype interview just now and the agent said with 4 years experience asking for 5k sgd is quite on the high side? So what is the market rate?
He also mention that kuli like us hardly can get a permanent post but only contract? Is that true?

Some update here.
I got the offer but the offer is just 4k with 2 years contract. I actually have a stable job paying 8k in Msia. I am not too sure is it worth to quit my current stable job and go for the contract job in SG.

further update.
I rejected the offer yesterday and this morning they offer me $4.5k. I think it is kindna worth going now?
