A few questions.....

Hi there, I need some advice/reccomendations for an old pc that I wanna upgrade. I'm thinking of upgrading the mobo and proc but not sure if i should get intel Dual Core 5200/5300 or should I get Amd x2 6000+/7750+. i would be putting the pc beside my lcd tv and I would probably be using for hd video playback . Which one would be best for me? There would not be any oc'ing at all. For the budget I would like to keep it around 400-450. Ooops: Sorry, I forgot to mention that the budget would be proc + mobo. /edit

Second would be regarding the video card. As i said earlier, I would like to play video files ie mkv/1080p files. Would an ATI 4670 be suffice?

The old pc that i'm upgrading has a 350w AcBel pwr supply and if possible I would like to keep using it to keep the budget down. Would the pwr supply be able to handle the new proc and video card?

The old pc only has 1 sata 80gb hdd, 1 ide dvd writer, 2x120mm fans and 1x80mm fan and no floppy drive. Thanks in advance for the help

Need help, mp3 playback issue in Win Vista 64

Hi there, I'm in need of help with mp3 playback on my rig. Some songs plays normally but most of my songs unable to play properly. It's kinda hard to explain, but the songs would briefly jump forward/plays fast and then would jump back normally.

My Rig:

Mobo: DFI Lanparty DK x48 T2RS
Proc: e8500
Ram: 4gb
OS: Win Vista 64

I've already tried playing with winamp, foobar and windows media player, but same issue with all 3 players. Right now I'm in the process of downloading the audio driver from DFI website, but just wondering if you guys have any other ideas that I could try. Btw, videos plays just fine, just mp3's

Ps. I have Kaspersky AV, and scans reveals no virus.

Hey guys, have a few questions regarding my future purchase for upgrading my pc. Most probably be getting these items just after CNY. Lets start with LCD monitors shall we.

LCD Monitors:
1) HP w2207h
2) Viewsonic VA2226WB

Which one would be a better purchase? I know the price difference is quite high but currently I'm leaning more towards the HP monitor. The only thing that is bugging me is the fact that I heard that there is some glare issues regarding the screen, if any of you have used or is currently using one, is the problem that bad?

Graphics Card & Power Supply Issues:

I'll also be getting a new GPU soon, still torn between either 8800GT or the HD3870/HD3870x2(if I can find it/price is within budget). The thing is, my current rig is using an AcBel psu(Intelligent Power Series 450W). Would this PSU be sufficient enough for me, or would I have to get a better PSU?
