Sound Card for Z906

Hello, im noobs in audiophile. So please teach me guide step by step for this matters. Ive recently do many research for the suitable sound card that recommend to powering up the Z906 system. However, there are many approach to make a sound more clarity but the point is "How about connection between the sound card until Z906 system?".

Can someone tell me the difference between RCA Cable and Optical Audio Cable? Since nowadays, there are plenty sound card industries including the RCA and Optical jack at their sound card. What are actually different between this cables? What cables are pro's out-there suggest? I want the sound are really 5.1 channel when playing music, movies, & games. What are the recommended setup between them (audiocard to Z906)?

Please show me the figure (simple sketching image) about the connection. If any conversion between them such as receiver, let me know.

Any contribution for helping this, will much b appreciate!
