Relocation/Working Advice in Singapore

Hello Folks! I have recently accepted a job offer in Singapore and will be heading over soon. I have a draft plan regarding relocating there and setting myself up before commencing work.

1. Take a direct bus from MY to SG, e.g. Bus from TBS to a location in SG closest to budget hotel (within work location).
2. Get a Grab or Taxi to the budget hotel due to luggage constraints, staying for 1 night or 2.
3. View rental properties that were shortlisted with appointments made with agents prior to leaving MY. Securing a rental property should be priority with rentals near to work location at a maximum rent of 900 SGD or below.
4. Acquire SG number with affordable telco plans, e.g. Simba. Current MY Hotlink number will be on a roaming plan for data use in Singapore (1 month validity) and then be retained with 365 plan.
5. Open a SG bank account for salary purposes, and then having WISE as transfer between MY and SG.
6. Setting up local SG apps and Transport card, e.g. SGQR and EZ-Link.
7. Perform medical checkup at approved clinics for prerequisite to EP being issued.
8. Wander around SG, particularly living/work location to familiarise with the area, e.g. malls, hawkers, etc.
9. Start work.

I'm sure there are Malaysians here that have gone through this process, any advice/recommendations are greatly appreciated, whether it is relocation or living

Oppenheimer is not a 10/10

I would rate Oppenheimer an 7/10 at best. Unfortunately, I feel it is missing a crucial ingredient. The effects and devastation of an atomic bomb. 3 hours long but hardly covers any actual effects of the bomb, particularly on surroundings and humans. I guess Nolan didn't put it in because he didn't want CGI in this film, but in my opinion it should not have been left out. Sorry Nolan, it's not a 10/10.

Perodua Car Paint

Need some inputs,

I have a 2018 Perodua Axia in White and was involved in an accident around 1 year ago which required me to replace my hatchback bootdoor. Fast forward about a year the paint on the bootdoor is turning yellowish while the rest of my car (the parts which are all OLDER) is actually still white, wth? I've been told that the car which was made in Rawang have been treated with some sort of chemical while the new bootdoor at the body/paint shop was not thus it turned yellowish faster? But accident replacement should be Perodua original parts is it not?

Any advise is appreciated.

Acquiring a small car loan of 30k.

If 3 years loan is 3.5% while 5 years loan is 3.3%, EIR for 3 years is calculated to be higher which would mean 5 years loan is better? Or is it seen another way?

Fresh Grad Car

Greeting People!
Planning to get an opinion of what car to get, be it used or new. Currently a fresh grad entering the workforce real soon. My job requires me to travel depending on where the clients are so public transport is an issue (I did consider it). However being a fresh grad I don't exactly earn a lot and I don't plan to splurge a lot of money on a car. Is it more worth to get a first hand perodua etc. rather than a second hand car? My greatest worry with a second hand car is that it would just break down randomly and also whether the salesperson is actually being truthful with the car's history. Then again, a second hand car is more affordable and I can better put the money I earn to good use (investment). Any insights sifus?

Graduate Dilemma

Currently I'm reaching the last stages of my degree and will be graduating real soon. I've recently went through interviews and have been successfully offered a graduate role in an OnG company. Salary offered is above 4K and they provide full sponsorship for studying a professional accounting accreditation until the end of the program. However, I have only been given a short time to choose whether to accept the offer or not. I like to keep my options open as I am also waiting on results from other interviews I have done or possibly apply for other programs as well. Frankly, I am open to any industry and this offer seems promising to me. The short time to accept the offer leaves me in a dilemma. I would appreciate any insights from this forum, be it negative or positive.
