Rental deposit

Hello, my contract will be ending on first week of june, plan to move out end of may

According to contract the deposit shall be refund on the day of contract termination

Approach the agent in the 1st of may, However the agent refused to return the deposit claims require further inspection before rental can be return and it will takes 30 days

I already offer to inspect the house earlier and on the same day as key return to see if there is any issue

What should I do? Too early to file a small claim now?

My Sony amplifier broke down and I’m not sure how to get a new one to power up the speakers
Should I just get a new set? The current one is like more than 10 years old
