Do we get the Asus F8Sp?

I checked in at lowyat today and the Asus F8Sn was touted as the latest in the F8 series, or so that's what most of the dealers told me. I've checked at Pyramid and a shop there told me the F8Sn was out of stock for some time, due to a new model coming out from ASUS end of this month for about the same price.

What new model? Singapore's last PC fair had the F8Sp on display, with the Radeon HD3650 1GB graphic card, and other specs slightly upgraded.

The lowyat fellows offer rm400 off the F8Sn and call it the latest model. Is it?

Hard Drive Chrr Chrr Chrr

My secondary hard drive has failed, it used to make this rhythmic clicking sound but I disregarded it as some casing noise, but it does not even start working now, and is unrecognized by the computer.

I have tried placing it in an external casing and usb-ing it to the com, but that doesn't work. I think something is loose inside.

I want to ask, can I somehow retrieve my data from the hard drive and transfer it to a new hard drive?
Any suggestions on how I can do this?

Tq
Large files sometimes take up to an hour or more, it's saddening.

Thanks.

Video card?Monitor? Windows? Something else?

Hi, another plea for help ,

I recently bought a video card for my ailing computer, a Asus A9550GE 256mb . I installed it about a month ago.

Two days ago i was fixing up a wireless router when my lcd didn't display anything after restarting. I don't know whether i accidentally dislodged a component while tinkering around. I restarted a few times, forcibly, until the lcd showed my Windows loading. It was the usual Didn't shutdown properly message.

Then when i went into my desktop, my taskbar was missing, and my Objectdock. So i did a system restore. I thought it would return to normal after that, but my screen kept freezing up at times. And starting up the com would be a b**** because it wouldn't load up ( the screen? windows? ) until after a few attempts.

I took a look inside the CPU, and pushed my video card a few times to see whether it was loose. Nothing seemed out of place.

I didn't know whether it was a Windows problem or my Video card. I don't think it's the monitor because it works fine once it loads up.

So i did a backup of my data onto a ext.hard drive in case the computer died and i needed a reformat.

I started the computer with no hassle today, just now, and everything seemed fine. Videos played normally. No freezing. Until i tried testing it with Warcraft 3.

I set the settings to highest, and loaded a game. A few seconds into the map, my screen froze, and it went blank for a few seconds before returning to the war3 screen. After 3 times, it just went blank. I Alt-Tabbed to my desktop and the screen was okay. War3 wouldn't come out of my taskbar after that. So i closed it and headed here.

It's my video card , right? Can anyone help with pinpointing my problem?
Thanks so much in advance.

[ Bitcomet ] Help : Meaning of some terms

Can anyone help with what these do?

" Windows XP ICF Status: Firewall TCP port is opened
Windows XP ICF Status: Firewall UDP port is opened.
Windows XP ICS Status: cannot find working ICS. "

The ports were closed, but i fiddled around till they were open in an attempt to get more decent speeds, yea, my dl rates are unbelievable.
0 kbps is usual rate. And it hasn't changed.

Another thing i noticed is that the number of peers have dropped when i opened the ports.

Do you reckon i should close them?
