this is more of an inquiry/curiosity not a big complain.
why are certain words such as vIA*** and CIA*** censored?

i would understand why the admins wanna do this for bad words (vulgar words)

i admit that in 90% of the cases these words are contained in spam and spam filters are sensitive to it
but why censor them on the forum? strangely it looks like it was censored for pm messages too.

is it because of fear that search engines rate down these sites when those keywords are indexed?

just now i was having tea with my colleagues at shah alam.
i overheard a few guys (all male) at the table next to us discussing about girls.

they said girls who are attractive are very hard to be sought after online (fb/instagram etc) due to excessively high demand offline
girls who are no so attractive tend to look for love online as they can showcase their so called feminine-ness and portray their success hoping for guys to fall in love with them first before showing their picture. i think this is total bullshit and they sounded like some guys in kopitiam.

but when i think back, looking at most of the people in /k/ who are like so desperately trying to chase anyone who's female, and some of the girls in forum who has controversial characters their points are 20% true. there was a thread about a girl trying to be a very expensive sex escort few month's back right? not mentioning names/nicks here.

what you guys think? have you flirted with a guy or girl online and they seem very interested and easy till you know they are a whale or leech (again using a /k/ keyword)? was the guy/girl very famous and highly looked up upon dating sites/forums (for example, talking about nice cars, high end lepak area) only to find they are actually fishing for you?

why are girls and guys working in call centres obese and look very unhealthy

is it due to their shift work and eating habits?
may it be any race and genes, generally they are fatter

i visited my best lady friend in cyberjaya yesterday and we hung out at a mamak just to check out handsome looking men
and there were a bunch of call centre people walking in there
the way they react is like they are so full of themselves.

they were like complaining something about malaysia but i did not really follow closely.

hi all,

this is amalthea, i am asking this question on behalf of my friend

my friend just paid a booking for a condominium for 357K (subsale)

he now has a headache with loan because he cannot find one that suits him best
he is 35 years old this year and he has about 250K in FD and financial instruments giving a yield of atleast 5-6% per annum.

his monthly income is 5 figures (not sure of the exact amount)
he wants to get a long 35 year old loan and quickly start dumping money into the loan and finish it within 6 months.

at first he thought his best choice was a no lock-in loan from maybank since he does not really need flexi facilities.
then he realized the stamping and legal fees for the loan is close to 7K and standard chartered offers him a free moving cost with a worse interest rate
assuming he pays off his loan in 3 years, the expenses in interest charges will be less than 6K. however that loan has a 3 year lock in period but you can pay off everything except the last 6 months of payment which you have to pay towards the ending of the 3 year lock in period.

of course there are people saying he should keep his 250K in the bank as even the worst bank loan has lower interest rates and he could a little more by not dumping his savings into the loan.

anyone has gone thru this situation before? please share with me
