iPod Shuffle Clone Problem

I recently purchased an iPod Shuffle Clone from PC Fair and was told that it can support up to 8GB if using a MicroSD card or whatever. And when I asked the person selling it how much space is the mp3 player WITHOUT the card, and he still kept with his answer, which is 8GB. Alright, fine, I knew it wasn't 8GB without the card, so I bought it anyway thinking it could support at least 1 or 2 GB without the card.

The trouble is right now is that the computer can not detect the mp3 player. Not to say totally undetectable, but when connected to the computer (Vista), it automatically installs the hardware/driver as most Vista computers do. But the thing is, it doesn't really appear as a "hard disk" on My Computer. Whenever I double click the supposed "Removable Disk", it says "Please insert disk into disk _" when there it is obviously connected.

I did try connecting it to the laptop which runs on Windows 7 but the same thing happens. The connected sound is heard and the drivers are installed and so. But no drives appear on My Computer. In Device Manager, it just says "USB Mass Storage" for both Vista and 7.

My question is, does the iPod Clone need a MicroSD card to function? Because there is a slot for a card. And it doesn't seem to actually work without the card. :/

Thoughts on this? Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

SERIOUS IPHONE PROBLEM.

I'm sorry for making a thread but I really need help on my problem. This is rather serious and problematic and it's driving me crazy.

The thing is, when I connect my iPhone to my computer (Windows Vista), it automatically installs the driver for the phone. BUT. It only installed the digital camera driver. So now, my computer only detects the iPhone as a digital camera! iTunes is not able to detect it!

I have searched for solutions online, and there are some solutions which worked for other people.

Here are some similar solutions I've found online which is the ACTUAL solution which will work:
http://www.ankurshah.net/blog/?p=20
http://geekxperience.blogspot.com/2008/01/...nes-doesnt.html
http://www.iphonefans.com/troubleshooting-...ize-iphone.html
http://iphone-chat.org/itunes-wont-recognize-iphone-1019/

What I've learned is, you have to somehow change the driver in Device Manager using the steps as in the links above. I have definitely tried that of course, but somehow after searching for the drivers in the Apple folders, the Update Driver Wizard somehow tells me that Vista has already installed the best software which is Digital Still Camera, and I can't continue any further.

I did navigate the location to the folders but to no avail, it keeps telling me that it has already installed the best software.
Even when I uninstall the device, Vista will automatically install it as a digital camera.

Please, experts. I am actually desperate for a solution as I can't sync my iPhone on iTunes.
