Computer so slow after...

hi there,

recently i just buy the new sata hard disk and install window.
cause i think my old ide hdd not enough space for movie.
so what i do is i change the new sata hdd and format window.
who know now the speed became slow than ever.
is that the motherboard can't support the sata hdd???
but it got 2 port for sata hdd to install.

i already upgrade the ram to 1gb as well.
but the speed very slow.
the window logo slow to pop out.
kindly advice.

about the 2.5 Case installation

i'm going to buy the new seagate 500Gb- 1 Tb 2.5 hdd only.
so manually i want to buy the 2.5 casing.
i already choose which type casing that i want.
but when i think deeply there got few type of the casing.
after comparing the price and design.
i start wonder that is that any related with the cheaper casing and expensive casing.

As i know, the cheaper casing got small ic chip and board,
and expensive casing got bigger ic and board.

so any idea about it?
