Seems like a scam but I never buy from Carousell before. Does the Pay Via Carousell need OTP?

I just bought a POCO F5 and it comes with 5G so I'm curious if there is any reason to use the 5g network. Currently I'm on old maxis postpaid 98 plan with 1 maxis share line and im wondering if activate 5g is worth it for the monthly extra RM 10 charge.

Can any maxis user share experience with 5G quality around KL area? I usually just use phone to play games and scroll Instagram/Twitter.

My smart tv getting laggier and laggier and nowadays I cannot tahan it takes like 5 minutes just to start up. Got any recommendation to buy 50in 4K TV with dumb feature (i.e no smart shit like android tizen amazon netflix). Nowadays I just connect it to my PC and use it as my movie monitor so I dont need those feature anyway....

Anyone have experience with this company? I've been approached by 4 different recruiters about a software developer position in this company last week. Agreed to an interview but can't seem to find much info about this company online.. only have results from their mother company in US and India branch. Seems like a pretty established company as I can dig out threads from 11 years ago about this company here.

Mostly just want to know the culture in the company (always OT?) , what are the benefits etc before agreeing to an interview. Currently already in a IT position with another MNC but looking to see diff opportunities as well.

Hi sifus, I have a problem regarding my connection where a lot of international sites are slow to access. I did a pingplotter investigation and I found out that there is a consistent 30% packet loss in the second hop from my router to the ISP gateway 219.93.218.177. Is that normal or do I have enough grounds for opening a complaint case to TMnet?

There is one reason I suspect that could be the problem, which is the phone line wayar had been cut off before and I reconnected it by just twisting the wires back together. This was about 6 years ago, but I am starting to wonder if I should get it permanently fixed by a proper technician? Has anyone had the experience of getting this problem solved before?

WTF> Evangelion 2.22 DVD/Blu-Ray buyers

I'm currently planning to preorder the Evangelion 2.22 Blu-Ray, set to be released on May 26th, from Amazon.jp. Since ordering by myself is a bit too expensive with the delivery cost, I'm looking for people who are interested to buy the Blu-Ray or DVD as well.

FAQ

So how much is the DVD/Blu-Ray?

The DVD edition is 4387yen while the Blu-Ray edition is 4464yen.

Got what in it?

Basically this should be the same as the first Evangelion movie Limited Edition release, that comes with filmstrip and commentary booklet, etc. etc. according to the description at the Amazon JP listings. Obviously, this is also owning a piece of otaku history, ヽ( >∀<)ﾉ AHAHA AHAHA AHAHAHAHA

What's the delivery cost then?

Amazon JP has a fixed shipment cost of 1400yen for one shipment + 300 yen per item shipped. This equates to about minimum of 2100 yen if I order alone, but conversely, if I share with n number of people, the shipment cost will drastically go down by 300 + 1400/n yen per item shipped. That's why I am looking for interested people who want to preorder it.

No. It's an R2 release. I'm not buying it to watch, I'm buying it for collection. I already own the 1.01 LE release, you see.

How to pay/collect the item?

Which LCD should I buy?

Hi everyone. My CRT monitor just kaput and I've decided to buy a new LCD. After scouting around Low Yat Plaza today, I've narrowed my choices down to this three models:

1. AOC 2236VW
2. Samsung 2243SW
3. BenQ G2200HD

My budget is around RM 500 and those three nicely fit in to my budget. I am wondering in terms of how "tahan" the product is and warranty, which one of those three should I choose? I'm kinda leaning towards AOC since the salesperson in LYP claim it has 3-years onsite warranty service, but can anyone confirm how true is that? I've heard Samsung has terrible after-sales too and I don't have any idea about BenQ after-sales at all. If there are any other better models I can get instead of those three, I'm open to hearing them too.

So to all the owners of these LCD models, mind sharing your experience using them with me? Anything, whether good, bad, ugly, exceptional about the screen, please share with me. It's pretty much my first time buying an LCD (yes i'm a dinosaur lol) and I really want it to be a good one.

DNS settings keep disappearing

I'm currently using a PC with Windows 7 RC 32bit and I just had this intermittent problem where the DNS settings delete themselves for no reason, which results me having to reenter the DNS IP's manually.

Problem is that I don't see anything that is changing settings and I always have to get adminstrator permission everytime it happens, which is rather annoying since I am not the PC owner.

Does anyone know why the DNS IP entries can reset itself? Already did the usual antivirus checks and nothing is found.

Crazy one-day Eva 2.0 trip to Singapore

Kinda planning a short one day trip to Singapore on September 17th or so to go watch Evangelion 2.0 which is airing there from 17/09/2009. Since I no money for accomodation, I plan to leave LCCT at 6:45am AirAsia flight and come back the same day at 11:20pm (according to AirAsia website schedule). Total cost of the return trip is RM 95 per person (so says the AirAsia website). I don't know how much the movie tickets are gonna be though, but prepare at least 50 SGD spending money I guess.

Anyone else mau ikut me there?

Are there any shops in Low Yat or Imbi Plaza selling this GPU cooler? Planning to go there this weekend to buy stuffs, would be good if there are shops selling it there so I can buy on the spot too.

The new Umobile advertisement is a big eyesore, because it keeps overflowing from the usual banner ad place. Can the admins or mods do something about it? It's very annoying when it blocks to top half of the post.
