MBP Wifi download issue

Hi, guys,

Not sure where to put my question as there is no MBP 13 non-TB topic here.

So i just bought my first Mac yesterday and it's a 2017 model with 13" non touch bar (256GB).

This morning, i was so excited to unbox it and go through all the initial setup with apple id, icloud setting and finally went into the desktop.
First thing i need to make sure the Filevault and Firewall are both turned on.

Next thing go to app store and check any update and HERE is the PROBLEM i faced.

I'm using both Unifi Advance with 50mbps plan (old home) and Streamyx 4mbps (new home) but the download speed from both resulting in ridiculously slow rate as per pic shown

The update is for the Mac OS Sierra latest version.

As this is my first MAC, so there are lots for me to learn now.

Anyone can please guide/help me on this problem?

Airasia malicious URL?

I was trying to checkin my airasia trip just now and when until the luggage purchase section (make payment) screen, Kaspersky suddenly blocked it and said "Malicious URL" and stated type is "Phishing URL".

This is the first time I encounter and not sure whether it's legit or not...

When I read the notice, it stated July 2013 whereas now is 2014

I was confused so I quickly clear the cache and then tried again and success on second time for transfer.

Windows Installer starts up randomly

Hi, guys. Want to ask that is it normal that the Windows installer to start itself up automatically?

Current OS: Windows 8 Pro
Anti virus: Kaspersky Internet Security 2013

Sometime I will open up task manager to check some processes and what made me curious is that why msiexe.exe a.k.a. Windows Installer is running by itself even I didn't install anything. Sometime it happened after a fresh boot up also.

When I right click and show file location, it will direct me to C:\Windows\System32 and modified date is 26 July 2012 with file size 122kb. If I scan with Kaspersky reputation check, it mentioned only less than 10 KSN participant has known this exe file and no threat detected.

I had checked the Service list and the msiexe.exe is set as manual already. However, it still boot up by itself randomly.
And I'm not sure what is installing background?

Beside msiexec.exe, TIWorker.exe together with another called trustedinstaller.exe also behave same but not so often.

Hope someone can help and thanks in advance.

Dropbox history

Hi guys.

Is there any dropbox user here?
Just now i tried login to dropbox home page and then checked the Account setting. I then switch to Security tab and below there will show browser history.

I remembered that I login-ed today at morning around 7am using Safari on Ipad and yes, the history there did show "Safari on Ipad". (At this rate, it shown 13 hours ago)
However, i then saw that there's another 1 hour later using "Safari on Android Linux" which caught my suspicious. (At this rate, it shown 12 hours ago)

As far as I know that Safari at current state doesn't support Android and why will it show this line..
And I stupidly clicked End Session without checking the IP address and time login for that status.

My question is that is my account still ok or safe? Cause I see no changes being made. Beside, I also changed my password before 7am this morning.

I had google "Safari on Android Linux" and no result.

Windows 8 "Trust Your PC" issue

Hi, guys. Not sure anyone faced this problem before.

Back when the windows 8 was officially launched around Oct/Nov 2012, I remembered that when u install new windows 8 on pc, it will required u to "TRUST" and the name of your PC will record down under the hotmail/outlook account at security info. This allow us to remove any Trusted device easily (one by one).

Recently I just formatted my PC and wanted to remove the old details but when I logged in, it only showed "remove all trusted device" this option which is not convenient.

Beside, I clicked "trust this PC" at personal setting there and key in the code that Microsoft had sent me through SMS and the result showed me that my PC had successfully trusted.
But when I back to Personal Setting there and check, it still required me to "Trust"!?
I then restart PC and still same.
So i once again Click it and it brings me to the link and say "Your device had been trusted"

It's been third day and still like that

Kingston Data Traveler Non-Genuine

Hi, guys.

Yesterday I had bought a new Kingston Data Traveler 111 pendrive as it stated USB3.0/2.0.

Today I unboxed it and tried it on my USB 3.0 port and found that the speed is just 6mb ~ 8mb / sec while copying a small single file (69mb only) and it took me 11 seconds to finish copy.
I then tried on USB 2.0 port and found the same result.
*P.S. I had tried my 3.0 Portable HDD on the same USB 3.0 port and there is no problem and copy rate @ 100++mb/sec.

So I wonder is it due to fake product? I had Google and found no news about Fake Data Traveler 111 though.

One thing that confuse me is that when i first plugged in the pendrive, there was no software included inside the pendrive.
Whereas before if I remembered correctly, they like to include those data backup software, data protect software bla bla ... (like Sandisk)
Can anyone confirm with me that whether is there any program included in Kingston pendrive nowadays ?

Google Chrome problem

Hi guys,

What I have in first place:
(1) A smartphone signed in with Gmail and Hotmail account
(2) Google Chrome Desktop (GCD)
(3) Mozilla FireFox Desktop (MFD)

So my problem I had faced last night was:

(1) I tried to sign in my gmail and hotmail account in GCD and it prompted that my password wrong which I never forget both of this account.
(2) So I tried to use "Reset password" to change my password and after changed, my phone prompted that I had been signed out due to password change.
(3) Then I tried sign in my smartphone gmail and hotmail account with the new password i reset and it kept saying wrong password. Whereas, I logged in/out using GCD numerous time and success.
(4) I got mad and then use MFD to sign in both account and same result!! It said wrong password keyed in but why GCD kept success.
(5) In the end, I used MFD to change my password once again for both account and finally can sign in in all device ...

Really full with question mark right now

Anyone know what happen?
